Got a PS3 slim, finally, what games and movies to get?

I finally got a PS3 Slim last week, i want to know what games and bluray movies i should get.

I want Motor Storm for PS3, i am thinking about getting burnout paradise, and some party games.

For Movies, i want really great movies like The Dark Knight, and Shrek 3 to see in High-Def, any other thoughts?

Get MGS4, Uncharted 2 when it comes out Killzone 2 and LittleBigPLANET

Well it seems like you already know what you want to do. The only multiplayer games above 2 that I can think of is Little Big Planet and Hot Shots Golf 5/Out of Bounds. The only thing with hot shots is that you have to earn each course by playing in single player mode which can be annoying a little.

As for other cool games that are multiplayer local. Resistance 1 and 2. Motorstorm obviously. Blazblue is a cool fighter. I don't know how many players Wipeout HD is. Wipeout is only on the online store though. Warhawk is 4 player offline but the levels are kind of huge so you might not want to play that one. There isn't a whole lot for parties so to say. I assume by your avatar that you already have a wii.

For single player, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Folklore, Metal Gear Solid 4, Valkyria Chronicles, Disgaea 3, and Infamous are good.

A good cheap game is Cod4 ( at walmart its $25). If you get LBP, wait till the 8th or 9th when the game of the year version comes out. Motorstorm 2 is also good. If your a sports fan I would highly recomend madden 10. GT5 will be good when it comes out. Ive heard good things about the new batman.

Personally I would get Mercs 2, its cheap and a good story.

All the multiplats I mentioned I have (or had) for 360 but I'm sure they're just as good on the PS3 as well and SC4 I actually found it easier to move around on the PS3 version.

A lot of great recommendations from above so I won't repeat the same ones over & over but I noticed for the Blu-ray movie recommendation, no one recommended/mentioned Planet Earth. Definitely a must for blu-ray owners! If you want the most bang for your buck with other blu-ray movies, check out this website.

I didn't read through all of these posts so I apologize if someone already said this but Band of Brothers on Blu-Ray is essential. Especially if you have the HDTV and surround sound. The battles are PHENOMENAL especially the two episodes that take place in Bastogne.
