Hey guys, I recently bought a PS3 slim and am looking for some great games to play. One type that I mentioned to my friends were games with destructible environments, and they told me about far cry 2 and red faction: guerilla. I've read reviews of both, but I'm not sure which one to get. In your opinion, which is the better game (in terms of single player, gameplay, multiplayer, etc...)? Thanks!
I personally preffered redfaction well over Farcry 2. It was alot more fun and enjoyable to play. And farcry 2 doesn't have destructible enviroments. maybe a few fences that will break when shot at.. but you wont be bringing buildings down around you like with red faction.

I played the demo over and over and over again just to see how many different ways I can collapse a building.
To be honest, I prefer Far Cry 2, just the feel of the game is how I like it, you die easily, the enemy kills you ruthlessly, and it is a pain in a but to travel around places, this is how you were suppose to feel. That is why not many people like it, they just want a full blown/easy action game
Far Cry 2, so much freeroaming and guerilla attacks on whatever bases you feel like, whenever you feel like it. Mortar it, rocket it, sneak in with a silenced MP5 or machete and go all splinter cell on those mercs. So many choices....
Personally, Far Cry 2 for me. I love both games, but Red Faction didn't really have solid gunplay but this of course is IMO. Far Cry 2 has a very long campaign and even though driving may be annoying, it can be fun! The variety of weapons in Far Cry 2 are amazing.
Red Faction is really good for like 2 hours. In the 4th hour I had it completed, not to mention gun mechanics are a bit... wierd? It's also super, super hard on hard difficulty. (Well I thought it was. Some people though differently.) Multiplayer is very fun. Far Cry 2, although disapointing, gave me fun for lots of hours. Multiplayers terrible. I'd go as far to say abysmal.
