Got to drop some time into Sonic Jam and Battle Garegga recently while doing some equipment tests for issues.

@suicidesn0wman: Thanks I could use that. I tried following a different DOSBOX setup from a fansite and it worked very well for a while but for some reason it doesn't cooperate with my newer build or some changes I've made since I last played. Maybe this arrangement will fair better for me. It's something I've been meaning to hop back on when I could resolve it. There's something about the first system Shock that has long intrigued me.

@jsmoke03: How is System Shock 2 impossible to play without pirating? Not only was it re-released digitally but the original disc works with that unofficial patch that brought it up to pace on modern systems. The first System Shock would be more ambiguous I guess but then I haven't bothered using my disc and trying that out on a modern OS.

@mdk12345: Wouldn't playing Dreamcast games that way wear out your lens faster though?

Perhaps a silly one but I wouldn't mind finding a few specific game cases for the few incomplete disc games I have. Normally I just find the games disc only or complete though, not just the case/manual.

@lensflare15: I missed out on most of the shooters in their prime unfortunately. I did however put a lot of time into Phantasy Star Portable 2 online and it surprised me how it felt like a proper PSO followup on a handheld no less. I think PSP2 had a hacker problem as well sometime after I stopped hopping online. I guess that's unfortunately what came with the "underground scene." Unfortunate but still a great handheld experience overall.

@lensflare15: And here I was beginning to think the handheld options would go unused. xD I actually played MOH:H1 not that long ago.

If you're already invested in digital then sure I guess. The hardware's kind of nice and novel, more so at a very low price. You'll need propriety M2 memory to expand it from 16GB to 32GB though (and that's as far as it goes I think.) Overall I still think the original models are better to have though. UMD games typically seem cheaper than digital in several cases and some major titles are missing entirely from PSN (Phantasy Star P2, Crisis core FF, KH:BBS.)

I'd drop in the original System Shock and Marathon franchise in addition to much of what's already stated.

@Eikichi-Onizuka: Well some hint of Battletoads was teased a while back, I didn't expect it in this format but hey. Makes me think about the SNES one now...

@fend_oblivion: Yeah it's like an evolution of Agro where the AI is intended to be portrayed realistically and not be 100% predictable and controlled by the player.
