I'd agree with the modder. If Capcom does indeed opt to do a remake, I wouldn't expect it to be a 1:1 experience of the original game. Now if they said they were officially doing a remaster, then that's a bit different.

Not the least bit surprising at all given that nearly all high profile releases on PC use Denuvo (even if only at launch). If anything it'd be more surprising if it didn't feature some sort of DRM at launch.

Funny thing is someone modded this exact feature into that sloppy PC port from years ago. Wonder if they made other adjustments with this official take on it.

@Carpetfluff: They supposedly have a non-Destiny game being developed due to a $100M investment from NetEase.

The unfortunate effect of having the Battle Royale mode eclipse the rest of the game in popularity. Still, the fact that the Switch even has it should now be a clear signal third parties finally seem to be back and actually trying to support a Nintendo platform. Two years ago if you told me big western publishers like Bethesda, Epic, or Hi-Rez would try to seriously support Nintendo I would've found it crazy, now it seems like a reality once again.

Fantastic to see Yakuza finally make the jump to PC. "Welcome to the next level."

And would you look at that, THQ Nordic once again doing what they do for prior owners of the original game. If only some other publishers treated their prior customers this well. Oh well, looking forward to wrecking things again once this lands.

@Blk_Mage_Ctype: That's the thing. It's a good value if you're utilizing ALL of it but I doubt a good portion of users are in for more than just the shipping benefits. At this point I wonder if it'd be any better for them to split it into a two tiered service, one focusing squarely on the shopping or media aspects and the other being the full package as it is now.

Given how poor the quality of the first port was WITHOUT fans fixing it, this is one of those times the remaster actually should've been given away freely (or at an even steeper discount) to prior owners as a way of saying "Thanks for rabidly supporting us when we gave you an awful port!"

I get that these remasters cost money to make and all but still, Souls fans pretty much bent over backwards for that mess, got it, and still had to spruce it up.
