I loved theKuribo's Shoe. And it was used so seldom in the series (SMB3 only I think, and only in a couple levels), it'd be great if they included it in the new game.

You can download the 3D trailer off the eShop.

Yep and it's amazing. I was iffy on this game until I saw that eShop trailer.

the battery isnt that bad, I agree with the placement of the stylus, and the smallness of the buttons. garrett_duffman

^ This. Volume placement is fine, battery is okay, stylus placement ubersucks, small buttons are slightly annoying, and as always, Nintendo is dead-set against giving us a full sized D-pad for some reason. That and the sweet spot, on some games...

[QUOTE="killerband55"]

i'm a huge Mario fan especially the 3D ones, like Super Mario 64 (even though i played that game way too much), and the Galaxy games especially, so i'm very excited about this game

turtlethetaffer

I'm also pumped for it. My point is that I'm saying something like Twilight Princess will happen to this game. People will be expecting amazingness, best game of all time and will be disappointed when that doesn't happen.

People know pretty much what to expect... and Nintendo knows pretty much what to deliver... there is no confusion about what this game is, no expectations that can't be met by it... it's a non-issue. :roll:

[QUOTE="REforever101"]

i take back my initial statement about the 3d adding nothing. it doesn't add much, but sniper rifles are pretty cool, cause you actually get the sense that the scope is in front of the enemies and you're looking through it. i find it kind of cool

foxfacer2d2

Is it me or the scope from the sniper rifle gives me double vision on the red dot when the 3d is on

Maybe you have the slider up too high

I like New SMB more than the Galaxy games, personally. Playing with 2-4 people on Wii is one of the funnest game experiences ever. Yeah the more people you have playing together the more you end up dying, but it's just so fun. Killing each other (on accident and on purpose), bouncing on each other's heads (to get where you need to go or just for the hell of it), pushing each other off platforms, having everyone bubble at once without realizing it, making a mad dash for the helicopter hats or penguin suits... love it.

This game will be a joke without online capablility, at least for me. Nintendo needs to stop relying on Local play for games like Star Fox... not everyone has friends with 3/DS's. Not everyone wants to get together just to play 3/DS.

These games (Four Swords) are so much fun with multiple people though. I played Adventures on GC with 4 GBAs, such a mission to put it all together, but it was a blast. Crystal Chronicles too, but that's a different game altogether.

As long as it's better than New Super Mario Bros (which won't be hard), I'll be happy.DJ_Lae

New Super Mario Bros (for both Wii and DS) were amazing games. Maybe you just have no tolerance for 2D side scrolling platformers? Or no sense of nostalgia? Or something.

These games play just like Super Mario 1, 3, and World, only better, and those are some of the best video games of all time.

By the way, both the Wii and DS versions (of New Super Mario Bros.) received an average score of around 9.0/10.

When has Nintendo ever let us down with a main-game (ie not Sports or Party) Mario game? There has literally not been a single main-game Mario that scored under an 8 on Gamerankings.com, and most of them are in the 9's/almost 10's. I know a lot of companies disappoint with sequels, but if you think Nintendo is one of them, do a little research. 30 years of amazing Mario games isn't going to just stop happening.

DJ-Lae said it best: [QUOTE="DJ_Lae"] Capcom is definitely taking advantage of the lack of decent software for the 3DS - I'm sure they know they would never be able to get away with this kind of crap in a year's time. Harkat95
Agreed, this should have been a 10-15$ download, NOT a 40$ retail release. Let's hope the software situation for the 3DS gets better, so we don't get this crap anymore, eh?

$30 would have been nice, but Mercs 3D definitely has more value than a $10-15 game. It's not like it's a straight port of RE 4/5 Mercs, it's not like they didn't spend money developing this game, they put time and effort into it. Just because it has gotten a few bad reviews (don't forget it has also gotten plenty of good ones) doesn't mean this game has no value and should have been on the e-shop.

Mercs 3D is by far my favorite game on the 3DS so far, and that will probably be true for a while. At least until the holidays.
