That literally makes no sense ;)I don't care when it comes, I just want it now goddammit.

It is harder. The enemies hit harder and have different abilities that they didn't have the first time around (such as Skeletos having the ability to shoot daggers in the first or second dungeon). It's still doable, but it is definitely more difficult.

I just hope the remaining 5 games don't suck T_T
logicalfrank
That too!
The reason they haven't announced the other 5 is probably because they all suck. That's why we found out about the 'other' 5 NES games late, because they all sucked.
[QUOTE="DustinTheWind"][QUOTE="gokuofheaven"]This game can get a 5 .... and still sell because it's Mario. Legolas_KatarnI don't think a Mario game has ever gotten a score that low. :P There have been bad Mario games. Like Mario's Missing and Hotel Mario. Not for a long time though.
We have been able to for awhile, beauty of the PC. Mario's Missing was decent (I thought). Also, it scored above a 5 in both EGM and Nintendo Power. Hotel Mario was a Philips CDI game, and we all know those don't count :PYou can play damn near any game in 3D now
[QUOTE="DustinTheWind"]His "reason" for knocking off two points is ridiculous. It didn't use every part of the hardware... who cares? Not every game will, not every game needs to. This should not affect the score whatsoever. It should be based on the game experience as a whole, not what parts of a console a game doesn't use. I personally don't care about the gyroscope, especially when it comes to a Mario game.[QUOTE="coltonnaslund"]
am i the ONLY person that thinks gamespot is taking mario games for granted? an 8? so....ONCE UPON A MONSTER SESAME STREET is JUST as good as SUPER MARIO 3D LAND despite all the reviews so far being much higher than what GS has put out. I'm done with gamespot, their reviewers can go play some sesame street because apparently THAT is gaming....hahaha i laugh at the reviewer and i hope he gets fired because he should

But oh well. I stopped caring what GS gives Nintendo games, sadly, long ago. They're so rarely on par with my own feelings, and usually a point or three off from what other respected reviewers give.
Games don't start as a 10 and go down from there, the bad thing listed did not take off two points. Not really, that all depends on how an individual site, group, or person view their scores and the the meaning of each. Such as some people viewing a 10 to be the best of the best and some viewing it as something that means perfect and no game should ever get it. It would also make a huge difference for sites that rate 1-5 instead of 1-10 or sites that don't give .1-.09 for their scores (with Gamepro giving it a 5/5). Or how somehow instead of five being an average at most sites somehow 7 has become the new average rating while other sites, like BlisteredThumbs, try to keep a 5 as average.Yeah it's extremely unusual that IGN gave it a 9.5 and GS gave it an 8.0. That's an unusually large difference for a big game like this.
Taking Mario games for granted, that's kind of like saying they are taking the new Call of Duty for granted. They just gave Mario Galaxy 2 a 10 last year. They don't review games thinking about the caparisons of Kinect titles meant to be enjoyed by children to Mario games. Just like I'm not going to get a childrens came and then go, well that was pretty good but is it as good as Fallout 2, or Baldurs Gate 2, or Deus Ex? The score should still reflect the written review. Which in this case, as with most GS-Nintendo reviews, it doesn't.am i the ONLY person that thinks gamespot is taking mario games for granted? an 8? so....ONCE UPON A MONSTER SESAME STREET is JUST as good as SUPER MARIO 3D LAND despite all the reviews so far being much higher than what GS has put out.
If it's your first 3DS game that might be the 'problem.' I think for a lot of people (me included) it takes a little for eyes to adjust to seeing stereoscopic 3D. Turning it off for short intervals until your eyes adjust to it should help. It's my first 3ds game. The only downside is that I've noticed the 3D is giving me major eye strain and a headache =[ Maybe I just have to give myself time to get use to it? I'll think I'll just turn it on for short intervals and see how it goes. Other than that, it's a good game =]

The Art of Flight was the coolest use of Nintendo Video so far, IMHO.The 3D Machine is one of the longest videos they've put onto Nintendo Video so far, and it has a great 3D effect throughout the whole mini-film. I'd say it's definitely one of the best videos I've seen on the App, some others I liked were BearShark, Next Level Hugs, Pizza Quest and The Art of Flight (I really hope 3DS gets a snowboarding game soon).
I like the App and I hope it gets even better as time goes on.

Very good to hear, though online still would have been nice. Glad Nintendo didn't totally fumble this like they have everything else lately. :)
