Whenever I enter a quick play session and invite one of my friends, it only shows the standard 85 songs, even though we both have more (through various track packs and GHTunes). Is it possible somehow to play the downloaded songs we have in common?

You're trying to go for a trippy abstract sound because you're not at a level to create a standard generic sound. There is no structure to these songs, and the mindless strumming of the guitar shows ineptitude hidden under pretentions even I couldn't harbor. Keep trying, you clearly like music and there's always room to improve, but don't expect record labels to show any interest in this; it's much worse than many many unsigned bands at the moment.

You seem to think that it is legitimate because it creates a soundscape, but that's not so. Soundscapes have an insane amount of work put into them, people don't just create a basic and uninteresting series of noises and expect it to tell a story. Listen to some 'Boards of Canada', to get an idea what something with production value sounds like. I'd suggest you start to learn music theory if you haven't already; it really will help you as a musician.

I see what youre saying and I even agree with some of it, but from the outset I wanted this album to be free of music theory, free of conventions, sonically jarring, different. This was really just an experiment.

And I actually dont intend to send this into any major labels, maybe some underground ones

Fair enough, then keep at it. A creative outlet is always an amazing thing to have, and you're one of the few to try and make anything constructive out of it.

Yamaha Pacifica's are amazing guitars. The basic ones are cheap, and they create an amazing sound. Matthew Bellamy of Muse used to play live with one of them.

[QUOTE="MotherSuperior"]There is no such thing as bad words. We made them up. They're just words.LJS9502_basic

That is a simplistic way to explain words. Yes they are assigned but they do have a meaning and some are intended to offend.

I've always felt that people being offended by the words themselves was silly. It's been institutionalized, like Women wearing make-up and not men, pink being a colour for girls and blue for boys, etc. It's only because people are used to things being this way that they still are. Words are just words, don't let it offend you unless the *intent* is there.

Clint Eastwood's character in Gran Torino. Was such a shocking death, expecting him to go in and kick some ass, but seeing him just stand there and get gunned down.

We all know we can't sustain the kind of lifestyle the first-world is used to at the moment, simply due to lack of natural resources. Even if we do manage to find a source of renewable water, energy, etc, a cataclysmic environmental event, or a man-made error, will almost certainly bring society as we know it to an end.

So, what do you think it will be? Personally, I think that the lack of water is going to hit us incredibly hard in the next 20 or so years, and that many will die off, effectively ending our current society (and perhaps giving life to more nomadic type wanderers).

What are your thoughts?

House of the Rising sun. It spans beyond one artist, and one rendition...it lives on throughout many generations.
