It's probably some extremely complicated neurological thing, to do with what stimulates parts of the brain. Simply it's probably what sparks your imagination, which can vary depending on experiences you have had.
Depression, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Autism, any other disorder you care to name, has a crazy amount of mis-diagnosis nowadays. 'Feeling sad because your puppy died? U R DEPRESSED, TAKE THESE PILLS.' Even worse is self medication. Live and let live, if it annoys you, ignore it, who gives a **** Life is what you make of it.
Cool is subjective. If you're only doing it to conform to someone's definition of cool (yours or someone elses) then it is by default, uncool. In my definition of course ;)
