Even for an RPG with Isometric view, the graphics doesn't seem that great. While I agree that having great graphics is not one of the priorities for this kind of games, but it doesn't hurt to have at least "Dragon Age: Origins" level graphics in modern RPGs.

However, I will definitely try this one out.

I have been following the WWE games for a long, long time. To be precise, I picked up playing from the days of Smackdown! Know Your role. The earlier games were simple, but highly entertaining. The CAW tools were awesome, and with virtually unlimited options. The same trend was maintained up to WWE 10, if I remember well.

However, they made some bad games in between, but started picking up things again since WWE 2k14, and 2k19 was actually a very polished game, except for maybe some minor glitches and graphical issues.

It's sad to see them breaking the game just one year sans Yukes. Seems its a bad year for sports games as a whole.

I had some interest about this game.

The 9/10 review totally killed that interest. This is probably the first 9 scoring review I read that totally made me bored and disinterested about a game.

Is it only me or is this game really crappy?

Replying to myself is kind of lame, but I just remembered--GTA V also got 9!

Am I the only one or does this post sound totally irrelevant and moronic?

What the crack is the "potion seller"? Am I supposed to know this character? Do I give a dime?

I want to play ES VI, and I want information on the game. I don't want some clickbate article.

I am not a big fan of multiplayer, so I mostly buy the Fifa games for the single player modes. But I must say, every year they are giving less and less focus on single player. These days, it only seems that they are concerned about the FUT mode--that mode gets heavily pushed, and they earn a lot of DLC money from it, too. Now this game seems just like a regular update for a game like Fortnite/DOTA or League of Legends. The core game stays the same; they just bring out new characters and skins.

Fifa 18 was the last game I bought, and I don't think I'll get Fifa 20 either.

LOL, so people lost their pants when they (tried) offering PES 19, but they are perfectly happy to give away a baseball game, which is a much less popular sport than football?

Also, didn't they offer Last of Us once before? I am quite sure I have it in my library but I didn't pay for it.

It's all very confusing.

I admit, I am yet to play this game--but something is definitely wrong with this review. I was reading through it, but somewhere down the line, I got lost because the reviewer was simply blabbering away unnecessary facts without talking about the game.

And his verdict? A game that got everything right about RPGs; most of them has uninteresting companions, a lot of quests, magic, brawling, looting and crafting, and an open world, and these are the things that make them fun. But for this game, the reviewer was expecting "innovation".

Well, excuse me, when was the last time an RPG broke new grounds? Most of the titles that comes out in the market revolves around a familiar mold, and honestly, gamers also prefer that. When I am playing an RPG, I know there will be quests, side quests, some will be fun, some will be for grinding. There will be a mount and fast travel option, weapons and armors which can be crafted and customized, good and bad consequences of decisions, and an option to stay neutral.

If a game has most of these things, I score it 7. Beyond that takes exceptional story telling, or below that requires abysmal controls or other bugs.

So without any significant, game breaking flaws, no game that gets most things right should receive 5 out of 10.

But then again, I will have to play the game to corroborate on that.

Bought this game 2 years ago for PS4--gave it away after a few weeks because I hated the batmobile missions.

Last week, game was given for free on PS Plus. Downloaded, tried playing again from the beginning, and no, still not liking it.

I wouldn't mind simple driving missions. But not allowing Batman to get in to missions "without" bringing his batmobile is just asking too much. There's this chemical facility which I am supposed to infiltrate, and God knows why I have to take the car inside.

Poor game design.

@gns: Even after reading everything you wrote here, I finished the game last month and got the platinum achievement, too. It really grows on to you, man. Especially the combat. Sneaking in to a camp and assassinating unsuspecting foes just never gets old!

I just hope someday you will find enough time to give the game a second chance.
