@Barighm: You have a very good point bro, but what I am saying that, for a person like me who mostly plays AAA games, I would never, ever consider buying Indy games. But once I got a few of them for free, I really liked that particular style, and bought some other titles. It was a good way of forcing me to "trial out" these games, and hence I bought more.

And by the way, even if Sony is giving away a game for free, it doesn't mean the publisher is losing out--Sony actually pays money to them for getting the units, e.g. my guess, they pay as much money as no. of PS plus sub X price of the game to the publisher of the game that will be given away for free.

Sometimes, though, some publishers might come ahead and offer their games for free, too.

@gaeandilth: Uncharted 4 is the highest selling (retail) game on PS4, and you are saying it's not famous? I am not a big fan of the series, but UC4 got 10 out of 10 in a review written by Gamespot, and many other sites also agree that it is one of the all time best games.

@analgrin:Don't emphasize too much on the percentage figure...that was just a number I put up there to make my point. Does that 16 million figure include digital sales? Anyway, even 15% is a big enough number.

The decision to include Uncharted 4 as one of the free games next month is such a outrageous one! Why?

It is one of the most famous games on the PS4, and the console is almost at the end of its lifecycle. 90 percent of PS4 users have already bought it and played it. Only someone who has just bought a PS4 might be interested in this. If we look in to PS Plus users, most of them are serious gamers, and there, the percentage of UC4 ownership will be even higher.

So yes, in theory, Sony just gave away their crown jewel of a game. But in practice, it is a redundancy. Previously, they did a similar act when they gave away Last of Us for the 2nd time. Yes, that same game was given away for free an year ago, too.

I think PS Plus was doing it right when they were giving away indy titles, or obscure, and yet, good games. I still enjoy playing Overcooked with my daughter, and I also believe some of the puzzle games that were given out previously were great picks. But this recent trend of giving away AAA games that people who are interested have already bought sucks big time.

I just wonder what mockery awaits us when PS5 will be released.

These free games are relevant for someone who never, ever owned a Sony console and just bought the PS4 today. Even then, they might want to opt for Uncharted 4 and a more serious open world game than Goat Simulator.

I got Goat Simulator years ago for free for my IPad, and I know it for a fact that there's absolutely nothing new in the PS4 version to make it worthwhile in 2020.

And as others have said already, UC being one of the biggest Sony originals is already owned by most PS4 owners, if not all.

This is basically a farce. I have the disk version of UC Collection, and now I can give it away to someone else. But apart from that, I have no reason to feel positive about another whole year of being a PS Plus customer.

Interesting take on the great story by Jules Vernes; one of my childhood favorites. It seems the game can be enjoyed better if one has a good hold on geography.

@gamerlivingwill: I believe a lot of Gamespot editors are now high school dropouts or otherwise, millennials who really don't care much about grammar and cohesiveness.

I don't understand why the publisher's other business of chicken meat processing has been mentioned multiple times in this article. What was the point of it? Do you also mention Disney's theme park business while talking about Marvel movies and video games?

I find it a juvenile tactic to sensationalize an otherwise boring and bland article with little to no information at all.

Is it an in game video footage? Looked more like an FMV to me.

The graphics doesn't look that much impressive. Seems they will add a castle building mechanism similar to Lord of The Rings: Battle for Middle Earth.

Been waiting too long for this.
