Because it takes their time and time is money to any good business! Also dont forget that they *should* also run a long stress test after overclocking it to guarentee stability before shipping.

[QUOTE="killerneub"]don't make fun of me but what is Ivy Bridgeurdead18
Successor to Sandy Bridge lineup (2500k, 2600k, 2310, etc etc). Basically Intels next gen of CPUs.

No it isnt, it is a 22nm refresh of Sandy Bridge with tri-gate transistors and a new GPU architecture that supports DX11. Early reports say it uses about 40% less power than SB, 20% more CPU performance and twice the on-board GPU performance.

[QUOTE="bpthomas85"]

ssd's are still too expensive per GB to replace standard hard drives any time in the near future. so, i wouldn't count on that. 2 weeks ago i would have said to wait for bulldozer but that flopped. so now im saying wait for ivybridge lol.

GTR12

Ivy Bridge is 2013, no point waiting a whole year.

Ivy Bridge is coming out at roughly March 2012!

[QUOTE="Daytona_178"][QUOTE="Xtasy26"]

This seems like the situation when they went from Phenom I to Phenom II. Phenom II was far more improved. But this situation is a lot better when they went from Phenom I to Phenom II, because Phenom I had more significant problems.

Xtasy26

No, its not like that situation until AMD make a fix, as it stands right now its just a stinker and nothing else.

Well, the Phenom I to Phenom II was a worse situation. Phenom I had a major bug.

Was the Phenom 1 beaten in certain benchmarks by the THEIR OWN previous generation of processors?

And a sandy bridge owner will be able to justify getting a next gen card whereas a phenom II will likely cause a significant bottleneck depending on how fast the next gen GPU's are going to be. The advantages of a high end CPU in the long run are so obvious it baffles me how people cant understand.

I know, its weird isnt it. "But my Phenom runs current games so Sandy Bridge is not worth the extra cash"!

He had to build the engine before he could could get id working on the rest of the game.

Sorry but if you buy Bulldozer I cant help but view you as a fanboy! Intel beats it in EVERY single way.
