I'm sure you'll be able to transfer your saves. I do it with the PS3 & PSP when I play PSOne games. I think between the PSP & Vita you'll probably have to dump the save file either on the PS3 or a computer & transfer it that way.

I say things has changed since the rise of developing top notch games. Not only does it take longer but it cost more too (which makes sense since it's taking longer). Developers aren't making as much profit this gen as in previous generations...(I have no figures to back this up but I've heard this somewhere). I think exclusives are going to be gone soon unless it's a game made by an in house studio of a console maker. Nintendo will always have the better exclusives for it's consoles if you're a big Mario/Zelda fan. Sony will have a few...not sure if Sony owns the UnCharted series but they can always get some bucks out of the God or War series...if they decide to continue it. They do have the best Baseball series hands down. 360 will have Halo & maybe any spin off of Gears of War universe. Not sure what else is exclusive to them. Next gen, I see hardly any exclusives as the prices rise yet again to develop on the new consoles. They need to just do away with consoles, have one main unit to play all games on & have these game developers focus on programming for one universal unit. Of course Nintendo would do their own thing.

If they decide to start bringing HD Versions of FF on Vita, it'll be all the more reason for me to pick one up. I got VII,VIII, & IX on my PSP...might as well put X & XII for the Vita. If I can have most of the FF collection on one system, that would be off the meter. They need to go ahead & drop the remake of III on the PSP/Vita along with getting started on a remake V & VI. I read somewhere I long while ago that VI was already being remade for the DS....whatever happened to that?

So far, PSP has FF I, II, IV, VII, VIII, IX. That's not bad if you like Final Fantasy. C'mon SE, fill in the gaps. I bet they'll come out with a XIII one that you can play using the transferring thing on the Vita.

#CMakaCreative - I'm really impressed, so your first FF is FFI? But what is your favorite? And I wonder how old are you :).

SQUALL20XX

I'm getting up there in age Squall20XX. I've been gaming since I was about 4. My father bought an Intelevision system. Had tons of games on it. When I was about 9 or 10 (I know I was still in elementary school) my mom bought me a Sega Master System for my birthday. Everybody I knew had an NES...I wanted to be different. My older brother ended up getting NES eventually. My good friend had both so I would go to his house to play whatever games I didn't have. He had an Chinese friend who always had the latest RPG. At the time I had no idea what the hell they were playing. Once I started to understand the story elements, I was hooked. FF & Phantasy Star is what really got me into RPG's. Then when I turned 14, my father bought me a Sega Genesis. At this point I was a Sega fan boy and even though I liked Nintendo games, not a lot of people had a Genesis around my area. My father's friend bought me Phantasy Star II which was probably the first RPG I ever owned. My brother got a SNES. I borrowed FFII which ended up actually being FFIV. That's the game that got me hooked on the Final Fantasy brand. Then I borrowed FFIII (FFVI) from the same guy who bought me PhStII. That game was too awesome for words at the time. I almost didn't want to give it back.

Me and my brother combined some money to get a PlayStation. Bought my first Final Fantasy game with my own money when FFVII came out. I was wondering what happened to the rest of the series and then I found out what the deal was. Anyway...that game was epic to me in so many ways. And I never stop buying the series since. Bought all the ones I missed as I got older. Bought a DS just to play FFIII. Bought the remake of FFIV on the DS also. Got hooked like a drug addict on FFXI till it became supremely boring when I got to a certain lvl and nobody wanted to party up with me. Instead of starting a new job to become popular again, I quit the game cold turkey. My favorite is probably between VI (though it starts off slow) and VII. X took it to another level visually and I like the pacing even if it was linear.

I'm turning 35 next month. Got a wife, a kid (not of my own), own a townhouse, worked 13 years in the same field (split between two different properties) and still hooked on video games. I don't see a day when I won't be....unless it gets rediculously expensive.
