@Joeguy00 @JFERNANDEZ84 That's not really possible, since it was a joint collaboration between Nintendo, Konami and Silicon Knights, and Shigery Miyamoto was deeply involved in the developing process. Don't forget his photo in the actual game, plus those little Mario and Yoshi figurines in Otacon's office.

Personally, I think those returning franchises and their characters hold much more value than any of the new, interesting gameplay elements that Nintendo has implemented in the last while. People don't say, "Oh man, in this Zelda game, you can do this and this and that!" they say, "Oh man, it's a new Zelda game! And in it, you can also do all those things, but ZELDA!"

Good for Nintendo. I myself am a Vita owner, but honestly, considering how things are looking for the WiiU, I think Nintendo is going to NEED 3DS to do really well in the next while.

@frylock616 @BiohazardXTREME Obviously SOME people are going to buy it. But hey, Tomb Raider sold like 3 - 4 million copies, and that still wasn't good enough for Square.

They can apologize all they want, but it doesn't change the fact that half the people who were looking forward to it, stopped caring and moved on a long time ago. They're the ones who are gonna lose out on the potential sales.

And even then, if people don't like the demo, then the game won't sell. So either way, they'll lose out on sales, and particularly on pre-orders. Sure, it's fine for Bethesda and other big AAA companies that know that people are going to buy the crap out of their Fallouts, Uncharteds, Call of Duties, etc. But it's going to kill the smaller, third party B-Market. And make it even more difficult for new, original IPs to succeed.

What Developers don't understand, is that if people didn't have the option to trade off the games when they're done with them, or if they don't like them, then a lot more people would be more conscious of what they buy. So in the long run, that's only going to increase game sales. I did not think I would enjoy Fallout 3, because I generally didn't like FPS games at that time, I sucked at them too much. And if I didn't know that I could trade it off, just in case I didn't like it, I never would have bought it. So there you have it.

I hope it's not actually Prince of Persia. I mean, if it's kind of like Prince of Persia, but isn't associated with the franchise, then there's more room for creativity. But if it's actually PoP, people are going to have expectations, and last time that happened, a great game like the 2008 remake got overlooked by many PoP fans.

So basically, what they're saying is, let's educate the parents, and make them responsible for what their kids play? That'll never fly! Why do that, when it's so much easier to just condemn the industry?

In other words, they're borrowing ideas from Mortal Kombat now. And all comes full circle. That's good though. I'd probably be playing Street Fighter if it has a solid story mode.
