Honestly, if you can tell the difference between 1920x1080 and 1600x900, you probably shouldn't be sitting so close to the screen. I play my games at 720p and 1080p, and sitting a good 6 - 8 feet away from my 32 inch TV, I can't tell the difference unless I'm leaning forward and specifically looking for it.

EDIT: And for the record, I'm a Sony fan, so I'm not just trying to defend the Xbox 1 because I'm some butthurt fanboy. I'm just tired of resolution snobs.

@leeti I just wish the acting wasn't so hammy. I think the games would be a lot better with a bit more subtlety. Think the difference between Ethan's reaction to when Shaun disappears and Joel's reaction (in The Last Of Us) at the very end of the prologue. But hopefully hiring crafted actors like Ellen Paige and Willam Dafoe will successfully achieve that level of subtlety.

@Young_Charter As long as it's an HD version of Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Director's Cut, the full and uncensored version that's been released for PC. I con't think I can play the muddy looking SD PS2 version again.

@Fursnake I just wish he learned the meaning of the word "subtle".

@Cordliss @BiohazardXTREME @Ayato_Kamina_1 @Tatts I know that Kojima has a huge ego, and I know that he doesn't take kindly to people second guessing his decisions. And that is not an assumption. Go on YouTube and look up "Interview with Jeremy Blaustein". It's in 12 parts. He's the guy who was the voice over director for MGS1, and that interview reveals a lot of candid inside information about Kojima.

@Ayato_Kamina_1 @BiohazardXTREME Well, that was Kojima's 'official' reason. Obviously, the only reason he hired Sutherland was to get more star power. So yeah, another example of where Kojima isn't the perfect God of a developer that some people make him out to be.

@Ayato_Kamina_1 @BiohazardXTREME @Tatts Sure, that's understandable. But just because on the whole, each game is awesome, doesn't mean they should be abstained from criticism. I really wish there were people on Kojima's team who HAD the power to say, "This is a bad idea. We shouldn't do this." But it really feels like he's surrounded by a bunch of yes men, and I think his games suffer for it. They're all great games, but if not for those stupid little creative decisions, they could have been PERFECT.

If this was the direction that he wanted to take the game, I wouldn't mind. If he wanted to make it even more over the top than before, I'd understand. But my whole problem with this character design is that when Kojima was explaining why they hired Sutherland to do the voice of Big Boss, he said it was because they were trying to make a more subtle, more serious game... And this type of character design completely contradicts that.

@Tatts Kojima isn't perfect. Some of the worst things that happened to MGS throughout its history had been his decisions. I love the franchise as much as the next guy, but Kojima is a very, very flawed game designer, and people really need to stop feeding his ego, because it's bloated enough as it is.

I'm not defending MGSV's design, but I've seen a ton of much more 'disgusting' designs. Just look at the Dead or Alive franchise, or anything by Suda51.
