I bought Heavenly Sword when it came out, and don't regret it for a minute. It's a great game, and even though it lasts only maybe 6 hours, the presentation, the storyline and all the things that make the game are well worth replaying.
Of course, if you're the type of person who plays a game once and never picks it up again, then I feel sorry for you. There was a time when video games didn't have a Save function, meaning you had to beat them in one playthrough, or leave them on pause overnight. But most of those games lasted 2 - 3 hours, if that. Still, what was the initial price on Super Nintendo games? $60? $70?
Considering how much more expensive the production values are in games these days, $60 is nothing compared to what it used to be.
