I played runescape for two years. It's an interesting game. It's kind of like "My First RPG!" type game. It gets you used to the ideas of the genre. The community in it used to be good too, now its just all newbies yelling for free stuff.

It is definitely NOT for mature gamers of any type.

I remember when I couldnt play Portal because I wasnt connected to the internet.

That is why i will NEVER support Steam. It doesn't make my life easier. It makes it harder, by making me use a SECONDARY program to play my own games.

I NEVER play to win with the turns. The game doesnt end when your "winning condition" turns run out.

I think its more fun to play with your own objectives, like convert the entire Middle East to Cathlocism without taking it over... or play as a "police" nation and try to prevent war in Europe without taking any cities (REALLY hard. I just sat armies at all the bridges and hoped that would prevent any fighting :P)

I did the same, i played KOTOR 2 before KOTOR, and thus knew the storyline

Still play it. Everything you loved about KOTOR 2 is intensified in KOTOR 1... though some worlds may seem like a step back.

At most this will be an 8 hour action game

It is MADE for the consoles. Ill rent it.
