This kinda thing gets me. I think its fair for anyone to say that they HATE Halo. I mean thats your opinion and your entitled to it.

But to say that Halo is a Generic game and disparage it like its just another game when it sells so incredibly well and Halo owns the 4th and 14th slots in the All Time Highest Rated games column on GameRankings is just showing yourself off to be a Hater and a Fanboy.

People can flame me all you want but if you Hate the series and you just dont "get it" about what makes Halo special then at least be mature enough to understand its a matter of your taste and not indicative of the quality of the game.

HALO is one of the highest Quality Franchises EVER and its place is with the Marios and Resident Evils and yes Even with the Zeldas of the world. If you dont agree than maybe your taste is the only thing in doubt andnot the games quality.

I don't know about that. MGS, KZ2, FF............Those are 3 heavy hitting AAA franchises (KZ2 I think will be).

The thing about 08 is that GTA will eclipse all those game in status and of course it will be Multiplatform but in terms of exclusives I have to say that PS3 at this points looks like it has the better lineup.

Halo is special in a way that few games are. It gets the attention of the mass media in a positive way unlike GTA unfortunately.

Anyway Halo is the gaming communities greatest shot at media respectability. If we want gaming to be seen on the same level as say movies or sports then we should be at least happy for the games attention even if your not a fan a series.

Halo 3 has a movie tie in being worked on by none other than Peter Jackson which lends the title allot of mainstream cache'. Halo the movie may be the breathrough moment when gaming is elevated from a sometime Geek hobby to a more main stream activity that people of all ages enjoy today.

Halo can be that game that breaks down the barriers for gamers and legitimizes the medium as an important part of our culture which we know it is because of the revenue it generates.

Anyway just a thought.....

A. I don't care if the Japanese don't like it anymore than they care if I like Sushi.

B. The PS3 owners aren't posting more cause their system is getting its a$$ whooped so bad most of them have enough sense to know its vitually indefensible.

C. Warhawk is really good - I agree. RFOM was average, Ninja is an old game and HS is a short rental. See B. about most people having enough sense to know PS3 is not defendable yet.

Besides - Why does a future Halo have to feature a Spartan at all. What About Halo 4 The story of how the covenant were nearly destroyed by the flood until they were able to fight them back and lock the last remaining vestiges of their race aboard the Halo Ring world?

That is if we have to even go there cause I think much more interesting would be a Prequel trilogy about the PreRunners. I don't know who they were but there must have been some pretty bad a$$ mofo's around that they felt compelled to build those rings?

You can do a whole trilogy of them fighting off the flood or some other race and the culmination of it is with the Hero and his Superior looking out a bay window of a ship after the end of a huge fight and off in the distance a half built Halo blowing (ala death star) blowing up the home world of the prerunners enemies. The whole trilogy can be about you having to go to three separate world to collect thre artificacts necessary to build and power Halo.
