Holy crap I wasn't expecting a downgrade that big especially since I'd believe those graphics if they were running on the PS4 Pro.

If you're talking about DF screen caps, those are legit since they use the same compression, capture card, and they sync their shots. This comparison was done by a rabid lem with too much time on their hands and it fails under scrutiny. The direct feed shots I posted destroy the crapy youtube screencaps.

I like my PS4 and Wii U (sort of...). I just don't care for Xbox. They just suck and have no compelling games. I can play Multiplats on my PS4 with the exclusives to boot.

First time seeing the trailer and it looks great. Hopefully it turns out to be a great game as well.

Despite the downgrades, I think it looks incredible. The same happen to Witcher 3 when that too got downgrade and yet, it still looks amazing. They've taken a character known for his over the top violence, screwing big boobs women and not having a care in the world and given him consequences and having to deal with his past that is now manifesting in his son. The game looks to be showing of an incredibly deep and personal story of loss and coming of age, where Kratos must contend with his past mistakes and not allowing his son to fall into the same trap.

Personally, I can't wait. It was time for God of War to grow up in a sense, and I am looking forward to it.

Why are people comparing texture quality on a console game? Of course textures will blow.

That story could have been told in the form of a CGI film (like Blizzard does in Overwatch). But then Sony fans seem to to enjoy pushing button prompts through their movies and calling them "games".

How long until Sony games start getting Oscar nominations?

The game look pretty dope, however, that won't affect anything that xbox has going on.

It kind of looks like that tried to mash uncharted cinematic with soulslike. Although I haven't bought uncharted or horizen and this looks interesting enough to maybe buy it... sea of thieves first. That game looks amazing but the one thing I've realized... xbox players buy xbox because they have friends... and games come out for them to play together.

Taking my cow glasses off I notice a few things:

- Colour grading is different

- Actual geometry has been reduced and replaced with normal maps (This is by far the most obvious difference)

- Textures at extreme angles look blurry which shows they've downgraded the texture filtering

- Colour of textures themselves have been changed

no matter how much they hve downgraded the textures I'm still pumped for it

Problem i have with next god of war:

1) the gameplay was already bare boned in the older versions, the trailer doesn't convince it's yet another typical sony press x to be awsome type of game to roll a cutscene that is going to be interrupted by pressing another x.

2) kid, when did the god of war became a baby sitter and a wuz all around?. i know devs at sony get old, but dragging little kids with you is getting old really fast

3) what's that chick even doing in the game?

Probably will watch some twitch stream faceroll in 10 hours through the game and be done with it.
