The Xbone could use any game at all in its current drought state. Future flops like SoT and Crackhead 3 don’t cut it.

Looks poor. A zoomed in over the shoulder camera and walk and talk shit have no place in a God of War game. This boring movie trend is one of the reasons I don't bother with PlayStation anymore.

Jokes aside, I understand why they want to change it up. I mean the Pro isn't really an upgrade so they can't really do yet another remaster of this already remastered series. And the old God of War formula has gone stale, that's why they are forced to change it up in hopes to extending this series that should've ended already. There's really nothing more from God of War to stretch out but Sony knows how to milk their franchises and consumers. And it seems like these PlayStation devs got daddy issues or interest in children. I mean their drama movie games lately have been about an old person escorting a young person, it's really weird.

I'm definitely renting or borrowing GoW but I'm not paying $60 for it. It's a one and done in all likelihood for me. Another example of why should I pay Sony for access to multiplayer when they don't care about it.

I've never really been into God of War and the changes don't look to be altering my opinion on it. The story looks bad, but that was expected and the gameplay (obviously not shown in this trailer) doesn't look very interesting either.

If this was a God of War game, I would be interested. But I am not interested in this Dad of War movie.

I'm really getting sick and tired of Sony's movie "game" obsession. They are going too far with it and I'm getting very close to selling my PS4 because of it.

I don't know what drought state you are talking about. Xbox One has received excellent games like Cuphead, Forza, and PUBG in recent months. Meanwhile, I haven't played a good game on my PS4 since Crash Bandicoot last June.

And I'm looking forward to some soon to be released Xbox One games like Sea of Thieves and State of Decay 2, which both seem like they will be really fun games to play with friends. Hmmm, "fun games" and "play with friends", now there are two things that the upcoming PS4 lineup is lacking in. Do Cows keep ignorantly stating that Xbox has no games because Sony has programmed them to only understand "movie games" and solitary experiences?

PS4 isn't a gamer's console. It's a casual family console. That's why it sells so well.

People don't want 100+ hour mechanically deep, player driven adventures anymore. They want 5-10 hour interactive movies they can beat in one or two evenings. They want to play as little of the game as possible.

I'm not starving I have a few games to play thank you very much. The only thing i'm starving from is a lack of time :(

If someone held a gun to my head and said pick a console to play on, I'd pick X1X. PS4 has 1 or 2 exclusives worth playing while X1X handles the multuiplats better (which is the majority of games on both consoles). Having said that, it would be nice if MS had more exclusives (and not just shovelware exclusives like on the PS4).

Not really, you can never have too many games especially when they are as highly acclaimed as PS4 exclusives. That’s just an excuse that fanboys tell themselves when their console has jack shit to play.

I’m not deaf to the meme out there regarding our content and our need to invest more. Definitely, we are at a point where we’re investing more and we’ll continue to do that. When I look at Matt and his responsibility with his team, it’s about charting our future in first-party content. I feel like with each one of the leaders we have, there’s an existing plan, and I feel good about that plan, but we know that the plan all-up for studios is expanding. Having Matt’s leadership there in navigating the expansion, what bets we make, the teams we bet on, the teams we create, is going to be critical.

Some of it is with the existing leaders we have there, and there are always opportunities to do more with the teams we have. But also, as we expand, having a leader in place so new investments can be driven and land in the strategy we have is going to be critical for me. That’s really where I look at Matt’s focus: both the existing franchises, and equally, if not a little more, thinking about our future content and how that growth happens in a thoughtful way, a way that delivers for our fans.

It's fine if you prefer gaming on your Xbone but it doesn't mean it's not having games problem otherwise Phil wouldn't be talking about rectifying the issue, and we also wouldn't be getting articles and complaints all over the web about the lack of games. You can bury your head in the sand and pretend Xbox doesn't have a games problem because you prefer its games but even looking sheer amount of content released in the past year PS4 and Switch are crushing the Xbone, and I don't even need to mention reviews and critical acclaim.

I love all the butt hurt lemmings in here bashing the game..... it's a known fact that they would be hyping the shit out of GoW if it came from a Microsoft studio and was Xbox exclusive.

Well it would be a play anywhere title, have online co-op as well as a fully fleshed out multi-player, not just a one and done and would no doubt have download tokens for God of War 1-3 bundled in with the purchase.

I really enjoyed Quantum Break, as did many many other people if you look at its "Very Positive" rating on Steam. I can enjoy games like this, hell I said nice things about this GoW trailer in this very thread. You're the one digging on MS and I replied with what Microsoft's main demographic of games are, games that include online with friends, multiplayer, and MS has been incredibly generous to the fans that stick with them by giving games away for free.

I'd bet if MS owned GoW it would include 1-3 with the purchase, it would be an amazing collection and a massive incentive to buy GoW4. I answered scatteh316's little quib about "What if", that's all.
