Rise of the Tomb Raider is (timed) Xbox Exclusive

Only thing is, Bayonetta 2 had WAY more people angry.

In Tomb Raider's sakes, I do not see this as an XBO exclusive for long. It'll be on PS4 and PC eventually.

If I remember correctly the first didn't sell all that well and only got a sequel after fans asked. Well, we gotta do more than cry, we have to buy. It probably wasn't that hard to ensure exclusivity and I doubt it will be forever.

Technically, they didn't, developers just jumped ship en masse.

But we have no evidence that Microsoft stole anything here either (it's highly likely they did, and for the record I personally believe there was moneyhatting involved, but that's my personal guess, so I won't go around stating that as fact, is all I am saying).

Hell, it's not a "stolen exclusive", but they even payed for exclusivity for Tekken up until 5/Dark Resurrection

Right now , Xbox One upcoming games are looking more interesting than PS4 imo . Quantum Break alone looks so amazing and now Tomb Raider .

This whole situation reminds me of Splinter Cell Conviction vs MGS4 (this time it is Uncharted 4 vs Tomb Raider) . I expect the same here . The game may not come out on PS4 . However the game is going to appear on PC after few months .

I just hope they won't follow UC series too much and will maintain Tomb Raider's unique identity . Tomb Raider 2013 was already too much action focused with no puzzles and exploration elements like original games .

Tomb Raider was one of the best games last gen imo. I had a lot of fun playing it. Hopefully it will come to PC at least because I'm not too interested in a Xbone at the moment. Unless the QB video is as awesome as some say. Either way, this was a good move by MS seeing as how so many people liked TR 2013.

quantum break looks like an xbox 360 game..and the time freezing effect looks annoying as hell...which also makes things way too easy.

That's bullshit. I didn't even like TB that much, but if the next game focuses more on puzzle tombs and exploration (i don't believe it) and ends up being good, i'd like the change to play it.

Yeah I mean they mentioned the holiday 2015 as part of the exclusive. I wouldn't be surprised to see it hit something else in 2016. X1 just doesn't have the console base to recoup costs.

I have a feeling it will go multi plat though, too big of a game to keep on one platform. I'll get the CE if there is one for Xbone though. I should of got last one.

It's not about recouping costs (Microsoft must have paid them enough, plus it's also on 360), for Microsoft, it's about brand identity.

At first sales were sluggish. In March TR sold over 6 million copies and exceeded profit expectations for the studio. Then you have to factor in that it sold like hot cakes on Steam during the summer sale due to the low price.

Microsoft are honest about their timed exclusive and exclusive games (unlike Sony).

Appearing on Xbox One first = Timed exclusive

Exclusive = Exclusive.

The best you will get is if they say console exclusive and you get it on PC. You will not get this on PS4.

Great move MS, that and Quantum Break demo was awesome.
