Rise of the Tomb Raider is (timed) Xbox Exclusive

Just got announced at the Gamescom presentation.

GUYS. Square Enix has flat out confirmed this is Xbox exclusive. No timed exclusivity shenanigans.

• Ori and the Blind Forest - live demo (looks coo!) + XB1 and PC;
• Sunset Overdrive - Ted Price + mention of "franchise" instead of game + trailer + crazy bots! + looks like crazy fun + October 31st release + XB1 Bundle (WHITE XBOX) with SO for 399€/$;
• Halo Time - MCC includes Nightfall (I think we knew this already) and Halo 5 MP Beta (again, known stuff) + Halo Channel (?) + basically anything related to Halo will be there + available on XB1 and Windows + partnership with Twitch + you can launch and livestream the MCC from the Halo Channel + live demo + ranking system is skill based like Halo 2 + Sanctuary map demo/trailer with "pro Halo players" (lol);

EDIT: Confirmed to be timed exclusive, as opposed to a full exclusive. The window of exclusivity is as of yet unknown.

Whoa... that's a big deal. Unfortunately I see timed exclusive in this... the first time CD or ms go on record dodging the question will be confirmation.

It might go multi later (at least to PC), but yes, this is a big deal. Takes Tomb Raider vs Uncharted to a whole new level.

Thats going to upset allot of Tomb Raider fans.

Tomb Raider was the most generic game I played last gen.

Wow, I was looking forward to that game. Tomb Raider felt great on PC. Maybe there'll be a 'definitive edition' for the rest. This kinda sucks either way.

LMAO!!! In before Cows have meltdown. Quantum Break was insane. I thought all of that was suppose to be CGI. Game beats Infamous SS with all those effects.

Wow, I can honestly say I did not see this coming. I'm hoping it's a times exclusive but who knows. It makes sense for MS to aggressively go after this game since Sony has Uncharted.

So now, it will really be UNCHARTED 4 vs. RotTR. There will be lots of comparisons and arguments about this.

So I guess that means I will have one less game to buy next year. Which is a shame as I enjoyed Tomb Raider 2013.

We have Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris coming to those platforms this December, and Tomb Raider: The Definitive Edition is available on PS4.

Now that's some serious Shit right there. Then again, Bayonetta 2 is Nintendo exclusive so it seems that MS is learning from Nintendo and I say hey, if you can't beat them, join them. Well that's disappointing to here that Rise of the Tomb Raider is now MS Xbox One exclusive and I play TR on PS4. That's okay, at least Sony has Uncharted 4 coming so I ain't mad at MS.

Yeah, the way they worded that strongly suggests a timed exclusive. It might not make it to PS4 though TBH.
