There aren't any perks or killstreaks in this game, are there?

I hope not, i enjoy playing the game, i don't need this other crap to keep me interested...

What I was surprised to hear was how much better the controls are and the melee as well. Even Speilberg was raving about the melee.

Apparently you do the mellee in real-time against human players. That sounds freaken AWESOME.

It sounds like he tried to cut in line by having one of his reps get a private showing of the game.

If the line wasn't the longest at E3 he probably would have gotten in, but they have so many people wanting to play it.

It's an Open Beta in September. You don't need to have that MoH. I'm sure owners of that MoH preorder will get access to the beta a few days sooner or something like that.

Apparently pre-order numbers weren't nearly high enough to support the open beta. They are doing the open beta on the largest scale possible to get the most amount of feedback to ensure it destroys.

CoD 4 had an open beta, and that's probably part of the reason it was the best of the new CoDs.

I just heard it in a video. Steven Speilburg was saying how cool it was that when you get into a fist fight, you know there is another player on the other end. I can't confirm anything beyond that.

I'm just guessing at this point.

Looks fantastic, the PS3 version looks good enough graphically for me and I know that the game will be about its gameplay so I'm really looking forward to this.fabz_95

where are people seeing the ps3 verison at?

where the hell is the PS3 version? I thought they didn't show it at E3. BF3 looks utterly amazing for PC, but I just don't feel the hype for 360/PS3 yet. I need to see actually footage and hear more details on how it will be different from bad company 2-- with the gimped player count and map size I just haven't been feeling it for console yet.

Would that not leave 2 players very vulnerable in a match if they are having a brawl. It sounds cool but I don't want something like Killzone 3's brutal melee's where you are left open for shots

im still waiting to see PS3 footage. i know the trailers were basically a mix of PC and PS3 but i want to see the ones that are 100 percent console....need to know what we are dealing with

Running a game like this on a 5-6 year old console is going to require some cut corners. DICE is really pushing the tech and taking full advantage of current PC hardware, and making some really ambitious gameplay decisions.

Atleast BF3 doesn't look like a bonus mission pack from BC2. Also, why wouldn't you have a tank mission in a Battlefield campaign? :P

Well my respect for Kojima just shot up. Glad to know not all game developers are blind and don't pay attention to the competition. Now if he would only port MGS1-4 and Peace Walker to Steam :D
