All of the console footage I've seen, including these pics and the Metro destruction video, look good to me. :?

Sure looks a hell of a lot better than BC2. Anyone care to convince me it looks awful? Hint: I don't mind low resolution textures and jaggies.

It's 360 footage. You guys missed the initial leak from a few pages back. They had video of destruction on Operation Metro, along with two infantry and one jet campaign videos. The videos are taken down now.

The reason it's that low is because the footage was being used to catch bugs. There would be a large volume of video, so they kept it 360p or below to cut down on the size.

I am pretty sure those are from the low res campaign vids.I mean, look at the second pic. Neither of those pics are representitive of actual in game graphics. But regardless, BF3 console specific PR is very bad imo. If they want to oud do COD, then they need to probably focus their PR more on console footage, or at least half of it. And you guys need to stop downlplaying the console version, barely anything has been shown for it yet.

Those videos look awful because the resolution is 240p. Even at that resolution it looks considerably better than BC2. If you think otherwise, then then you're a PC fanatic that think anything on console is garbage anyway. Most of us can enjoy sub-1080p sub-60fps sub-8xAA games.

Its on a way more serious note this time around in BF3. It will be like real military operations rather than a ragtag bag of misfits just ploughing through everywhere

This looks no different. I really hate COD-style singleplayer games (which I guess started with Medal of Honor, not sure). The part in the Faultline trailer where you have the quicktime fist fight with an Iranian really looked awful to me. COD awful. ;) punface

No confirmation for the beta yet, although rumors have suggested 9/11, 9/20, and 9/27. I'm betting it will be even later than those dates.

Wow, how exciting. I watched Generation Kill, which this is supposedly inspired by. DICE doesn't want to make a political statement, so they're going to have to leave out everything that made that show great. The series focused on the moral depravity of the marines and the incompetence of their commanders. If using military jargon was all a game needed to be interesting, I would have loved the **** out of MW2. We're Oscar Mike!

And the biggest flaw of BFBC2 for me, was the "RESUME GAME" option in the menu, because sometimes I would accidentally click it and it would take its time loading me into the low point of my day.

haha this is so ture. I had BFBC2 on the PS3 first and played the campaign there. So the loading time took forever and if I hit "resume game" I would be left with my tumb up my bum for a few minutes before I could go back and play MP

I agree especially since BF3 videos are coming again and the beta will be soon. Also it launches next month so its very soon too. MW3 can be stickied longer because its not until November

the game modes are actually on different discs, so it's almost what I wanted from a modern shooter! if only I didn't have to buy that campaign disc at the same time. :x
