Well, Eric Gordon is off the market. Suns picked him up for 4 year, 58 million. Hornets are expected to match, but it looks like Gordon wants to play in Phoenix.
Wonder if that makes Nash more likely to want to stay with them.Well, Eric Gordon is off the market. Suns picked him up for 4 year, 58 million. Hornets are expected to match, but it looks like Gordon wants to play in Phoenix.

Gordon's an idiot. What in the hell is in Phoenix that isn't in New Orleans?Well, Eric Gordon is off the market. Suns picked him up for 4 year, 58 million. Hornets are expected to match, but it looks like Gordon wants to play in Phoenix.

So if the Nets manage to actually get Howard, they'll pretty much have gone from being one of the worst teams to one of the better teams, in a matter of a couple of weeks? Does anyone else find that ridiculous?

Happens all the time. Boston did in 2007, Phoenix did it when they first got Nash, the Heat, etc....So if the Nets manage to actually get Howard, they'll pretty much have gone from being one of the worst teams to one of the better teams, in a matter of a couple of weeks? [QUOTE="TheWalkingGhost"]http://hangtime.blogs.nba.com/2012/07/03/lakers-enter-fray-for-steve-nash/?ls=iref:nbahpt1 The Lakers seem to want Nash. But from that it seems neither the Knicks or Lakers could offer him much without a sign and trade. The Raptors kinda rained on NY's parade when they offered Fields $20 million. The Mavs also want Nash.-Halftime-Do not want.
You don't want Nash on the Lakers?! How come?

The Lakers need youth. Not a 38 year old point guard. Do not want.Might just keep an eye on Chris B's twitter to see if the Bulls match the Rockets offer to Asik. TheWalkingGhostdon't care unless you make a bet in the thread... Not interesting otherwise

Why is it ridiculous? Nets gambled trading for D.Williams from the Jazz and it payed off. They traded for Joe Johnson. And if they can trade for D.Howard.... it's about the Nets management having acquired the pieces for deals and making enough salary cap space to pull it all off. It should be applauded being able to turn a team around with smart management, not knocked. The Heat just having 2 All Stars walk in the door at no cost for players or draft picks is what's ridiculous. So if the Nets manage to actually get Howard, they'll pretty much have gone from being one of the worst teams to one of the better teams, in a matter of a couple of weeks? They were free agents all looking for the best opportunity to win, coming from teams where they had to carry to no avail. It was a once in a lifetime oppertunity to take advantage of that huge free agency offseason. Clearly it payed off since they're NBA champs. So if the Nets manage to actually get Howard, they'll pretty much have gone from being one of the worst teams to one of the better teams, in a matter of a couple of weeks? So Deron Williams gets 98mil for 5 seasons from Brooklyn
Eric Gordon and Phoenix agreed to a 4 year 56(?)mil offer sheet
Roy Hibbert still has that max offer from Portland hanging around
Steve Nash will re-sign with Phoenix or sign in Toronto, don't think ANY other teams will appeal to him much unless he gets a BIG offer
Jason Terry signs with Boston
Ray Allen & Jeremy Lin are being courted by other teams for some nice money
Gerald Wallce re-signed with the Nets
Andre Miller re-signed with Denver , so did Kia Griffin with LA
Asik will probly be a Rocket
And JR Smith will not return to the Knicks
Is that everything bubbling for now? Or have I missed stuff?
If the knicks get Nash they'll have three of the worst defensive players in the league in their starting 5:lol:-Halftime-Carmelo is not one of the worst defenders when tries plus he is losing weight, getting back in shape. Good thing we have a defensive minded coach. Steve Nash will just be the offensive coordinator. Amare working with Hakeem. Things look sharp expect losing Shump.
[QUOTE="deuce4eva"]
Nash/Lin/Kidd trio?
JML897
What good would having 3 expensive PGs do? At most the Knicks are getting two of those.
I heard he would sign for minimum and he has great size at "6,4" he could play the 2. He is an adept rebounder and still a great defender. Nash and Kidd on the floor doesn't sound too bad.

No one goes to the Dream to learn post defense, like they should, the go to learn post offense.[QUOTE="-Halftime-"]If the knicks get Nash they'll have three of the worst defensive players in the league in their starting 5:lol:deuce4eva

Yeah but Amare offense sucked last year too only like 18 points. With that training and Nash we will have his maxium potential.
Let's say the Knicks get Nash...what good does that really do? The Heat will still steamroll them. Now I guess that happens in the 2nd round and not the 1st?
I'd rather keep guys like Shumpert and build for the future than get Nash who only has 2 good years at most left. If you trade anything for Nash you should be sure that you'll be a title contender in the next 2 years. The Knicks aren't.

Steve Nash is still arguably the best PG in the lg when you look at what he did with Suns with nobody around him. You can't say we're not title contenders by not looking what we will have on paper. Steve Nash and Amare is a lethal combination. Not only that you have Carmelo Anthony,Tyson Chandler, Novak, Smith, etc. Celtics,Knicks,Heat, maybe Brooklyn should be the frontrunners of the East.

Funny how you're no longer a troll now, you're just hopelessly optimistic about your team.[QUOTE="SilentSoprano"]Why is it ridiculous? I'm talking more about the fact that a couple years ago they had the worst record in the league, and were the laughing stock of the NBA. Now they will potentially have Williams, Wallace, Johnson, and Howard, making them one of the better teams in the East. It just seems weird when I think of it like that. It's not everyday you see a team turn around that fast. At least the Heat were already a good team with just Wade; they didn't completely turn around in a matter of 1-2 seasons like the Nets. It is good management like you said...it just seems crazy.

You guys looked excellent on paper last season, but what happened? The Knicks have all this talent, but can't seem to work as a cohesive team for some reason.

Dwight Howard possibly going to the Nets.
I don't really watch basketball, but all the media has talked about, other than hockey, is about Nash. And I've followed along and after listening to all these people want him, I don't get why, other than being Canadian.
I'm glad he's going to a place like LA and have a chance to win. If he comes here, he has no shot. He wouldn't have helped anything but ticket sales.
Well, I've read that with this trade, they have a good shot to win.
