Mass Effect: Andromeda's latest video has been released, showing off some of the game's Golden Worlds.

These planets are those designated as potential new habitats for humanity, as our species attempts to colonise the Andromeda galaxy. The video shows Suvi, your crew's tech officer, talking through these Golden Worlds. Take a look at the planets for yourself in the trailer below.

Now Playing: GS News Update: Mass Effect Andromeda Trailer Shows Off Exotic Worlds

The details keep coming for Mass Effect: Andromeda, which is now just a couple of weeks away from being released. Unfortunately, the game's multiplayer tech test has been canceled; developer BioWare said the cancellation was a "long story but right decision for how close we are to [going] live."

Although Andromeda won't have a multiplayer beta, a portion of the game will be available for a limited time early via EA Access on Xbox One and Origin Access for PC starting on March 16. BioWare has confirmed that the Access version of the game will let you play multiplayer as much as you want, though single-player will be limited.

The full game launches on March 21 for Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. For more on the sci-fi RPG, read our preview on how Mass Effect: Andromeda's characters deal with science and God, and why that's so exciting.

I feel like Eric Cartman in that episode where he couldn't wait for the Wii to arrive, so he tried to travel forward in time to the release date lol. Who's got a cryosleep chamber I can use until March 21?

Also, to the people concerned about the game not having enough worlds -- after the magnificence of Dragon Age: Inquisition, Bioware has built up a lot of good will, at least with me. As a company they never excelled at level design, but they stepped their game up to levels I didn't even expect in DA:I. Some of those zones were beyond spectacular, with so many hidden items, chambers, ancient temples, artifacts and other stuff that those zones felt like they were brimming with life. That one zone that was deep forest, can't remember what it was called, is amazing. Overall they went above and beyond in that game.

So I'm hoping Andromeda continues along the lines of DA:I. From what we've seen, the worlds certainly look beautiful. Now we'll have to see if the hype matches reality.

@gozerthegozerian: I have so many good games to play right now that the wait is not killing me. Zelda and Horizon are both amazing if your looking for something to kill the time.

@Legend_of_Link: I don't have any consoles. PC only. But it's all good, I've got Planet Coaster and lots of other games.

To be honest, if I was going to get a console, I'd get a PS4 for the exclusives. I've always wanted to play The Last of Us, and isn't Horizon Zero Dawn a PS4 exclusive?

@gozerthegozerian: Dragon age Inquisition was pretty to look at but the areas were devoid of life and were very repetatative.I wish they would demo a a full explorable world to put people at ease.I have very little interested in playing DA:I 2.0

@musalala: That's not an accurate description of DA:I at all. Every inch of those zones was packed with mobs, rifts, hidden caves, hidden ruins and temple complexes, hidden deep roads entrances, castles, towns, NPCs, doors that could only be unlocked with upgraded rogue skills...sometimes I felt like there was too much.

I've got about 200 hours in DA:I over two play-throughs, and the second play-through is only at 60% or so. And the level design is above and beyond anything Bioware has ever done before, especially compared to the first two DA games and the first two ME games.

This is straight up BS grade A BS, dragons age inquisition was not packed with content, every area had the same template and it was cut and paste.Even Bio ware admitted it and hence "the we will do better statements" with ME:A. The game was designed like an off line MMO. What you have described are games like Skyrim/Xenoblade/Witcher/Fallout. You might have one unique mission in each area( saving the inquisition agents from the avvar in fallow mire) But overall it was rince and repeat in each area . For me the biggest grieve was the stupid power mechanic that forced you to grind for power to unlock story missions.

@musalala: To be fair, the repetitiveness of the terrain and the fact that the places were devoid of life is realistic. People can walk in the wilderness all day and never come across an animal in the real world. And if you've ever driven across states you'd see that the landscape often doesn't change.

@spiegel1: realism isn't always the best things in media like games and movies. Like Hitchcock says, what is film but life with the boring parts cut out?

Okay, now I'm afraid that these seven worlds are the only planets you can visit on foot. xD
Hopefully that won't be the case, although I think there have been locations shown before, that don't match the aesthetics of the planets shown in the video. So I won't get too worried.. yet.

Also, since quarians are now 100% confirmed, gimme them in the game's multiplayer too, damn it!! xP

@gozerthegozerian: The Arc ship left during the events of ME2 so what happens after that in the Milky Way has no bearing on them.

@RadPro: So far as I remember the events of ME3 have repercussions in all places, all sides of the world. If there are places not affected by it, well, I know ME3 is stupid but it would reach another level of stupidity.

But there is a funny thing we need to remember. The lead writer is the same so... he is pissing in his own art...Eheh

@blindbsnake: The repercussions are only felt in the Milky Way Galaxy, you do realise that they've gone to another galaxy right? The one called Andromeda.

@RadPro: So let me understand this... The repercussion of ME3 are restricted to the Milky Way Galaxy? The little kid problem is getting dumber by the minute.

Ok... I´m just kidding. ME3 is so stupid that I can´t avoid it.

My friend... the effects of ME3 have the obligatory restraint to affect everyone and everything. That´s the implication of ME3 endings. The fact that ME andromeda lead writer is pissing on ME3 logic only proves the direction that ME Andromeda is taking.

I know that ME3 fans don't give a crap about this, but it´s sad no matter the perspective.

@blindbsnake: You really are daft. The energy wave traveled through the Mass Relays which are only in the Milky Way Galaxy, it did not go further than the galaxy itself.

@RadPro: You are so wrong about this... You should replay the game again, but not only ME3.

But better than justify the expansion of the wave I prefer to focus on the kid. Tell one thing, if the wave were restricted to the milky way galaxy, in what way the colored endings solve his problem? Do you understand how stupid ME3 becomes if that were true. Don´t get me wrong, I know is not and the game is still pretty stupid. It would be more than moronic...

@gozerthegozerian: They were mentioned by BioWare employees on Twitter a week or so ago. And if you watch the briefing video linked on this article, the woman says that the Habitat 5 moon/planet is perfect "for our turian and quarian colonists"

And what happens in ME3 has no bearing on Andromeda, as the game begins before the events of ME3.

@joupena: This is what Fabrice Condominas (Producer) had to say about the size of the planets in Mass Effect:

"If you take some of the story planets–which are the biggest we have–they’re the size of Dragon Age: Inquisition as a whole in terms of footprint. Keep in mind though that the context is different, because you’re moving way faster [driving] the Nomad, but we still have to build all that content."

@joupena: If these planets have explore able area's as big as Hinterlands area in Dragon Age Inquisition then its already two many. Number doesn't mean anything. Let's count the big planet's in original Mass effect which had story missions take place: Eden Prime, Therum, Feros, Noveria, Virmire and Ilos, that's six planets. Rest was all filler or repetitive crap

I prefer 7-10 well-realized planets to what they did in ME1. The environments were copy paste and they were barren and boring.

@joupena: Well, it could be only seven worlds but maybe they are massive worlds that can be explored in detail instead of a world where there is one colony or a world that only serves as a mission, or with very limited exploration.... we will see.

@joupena: I imagine there will be worlds that are more linear aka just for one mission. Like you know every other mass effect. But in a previous video they said there was a "Handful of planets" you can explore so that says to me there will be 10 max you can explore.

@gamingdevil800: I'll take 10 planets that are actual planets, where you have wilderness, settlements and even cities scattered across it--vs the giant empty planets where all there is to find after 10 minutes of struggling to get a vehicle over a hill is the copy n paste base interior.

@joupena: Dragon Age Inquisition was such a let down for me personally due to them fetch quests. Dragon Age 2's story was more enjoyable and that says a lot.

@gamingdevil800:DA2 had a good story, what killed that game was the repeated environments. I dug the concept of watching a city fall to shambles because of politics instead of the typical ancient evil.

@gamingdevil800:

I have never understood the hate for DA2 and Inquisition.

I loved the story in DA2 but wished they hadn't been pushed to release early; if they had 6 more months they could have made more maps and environments, maybe more varied enemies, which is the only issue I could see. Even then, it played well (On PC anyways) and the cast had some of my favorite characters in any BW game.

If you are gonna hate DAI's fetch quests then I say hate ME1 just as much. ME1 has so many fetch quests and without the benefit of at least having a beautiful set of environments and a real reason to be there. With the exception of the Hinterlands, you just did all of the "quests" on the way through the area. I never had to backtrack in DAI unless I wanted to. The only place I felt that it fell down was for completionists. The tried to give the player freedom but it was false. They should have just gone with the linear design the game was obviously made for instead of a false open world.

In ME1 you had to slog to all of those stupid fucking planets on the Mako, scan for minerals, killing the Thresher maws, collecting Matriarch Dilinaga's whatever-the-fucks. Literally, 60 percent of the missions were kill/fetch quests with no actual story. Walk into copy pasted "outpost" prefab building, kill shitty AI dudes, look for the hackable stations and contains, rinse, repeat, like 20 times. Shallow and boring.

My only issue with all of these games is the boring messianic story line. The world/universe doesn't have to be ending for there to be tension and narrative drive; it is lazy storytelling. But at least they do it well enough to keep us engaged.

That being said, I love every one of the games because the characters and interactions are fun to experience. At this point, BW games have eaten like thousands of hours of my life and I look forward to seeing what they do with Andromeda.

@digitalheadbutt: The copy and pasted environments really killed DA 2 for me. If they were going to limit us to Kirkwall and some outer areas of the Free Marches, those areas should have been finely detailed so that the player could really fall in love with the city and the Free Marches. As for the DAI/ME 1 comparison, to be fair, ME 1 was the beginning of the saga and landing on a planet was really exciting the first couple of times you did it. And DAI had the misfortune of releasing after that so ME 1 gets seen through rosy colored glasses while DAI gets the redheaded stepchild treatment.

@gamingdevil800: Yup, the absolute borefest of the side content in DA: Inquisition really makes me feel that DAII is the better game, at least some of the time.

DAII had lazy, copy & pasted environments, but many of the side missions were actually somewhat meaningful; some of them taking place through the course of the entire game, your choices carrying over to the later stages of the story.

@joupena: Scratch that, there are definitely more than just these 7 planets, that you can visit... I think.

Kind of a weird combination this chick who narrates the briefing video. She has a Finnish (I guess Indian sometimes too) first name, probably Indian last name, and then an Irish accent. xD

@silversix_: If it follows the template of previous ME and DA games, a significant part of the game will also consist of recruiting teammates, doing massive favors to earn their loyalty, and a large central quest chain. I too hope that resource collection isn't a big, grindy thing -- hopefully it'll operate similarly to ME3's battle readiness, where it's fairly trivial to get your score up.
