Mass Effect: Andromeda's Multiplayer Tech Test Has Been Canceled
BioWare has canceled Mass Effect: Andromeda's multiplayer tech test, the developer announced today.
"While we will have live multiplayer at PAX East, there will no longer be a multiplayer tech test for players at home," BioWare said in a blog post. "Thank you to everyone who signed up. We look forward to seeing you in Andromeda."
Also at PAX East, which runs March 10-12, BioWare will hold a panel where it will show off never-before-seen gameplay. This panel, which takes place March 10 at 4 PM ET, will be streamed live
BioWare confirmed that Andromeda would have a multiplayer mode in November 2016. The developer allowed people to sign up for the pre-release play period on its website.
Andromeda's multiplayer will tie into the game's campaign. In terms of gameplay, you can expect to be on the move more often than in Mass Effect 3. Whereas that game often saw players often stay in a fixed location they could defend, Andromeda will throw new enemy types at you that force you into or out of cover.
