If you can put back $100 or even $50 a month you could redo this machine without many problems. Start with a video card (maybe $150-$200?), then save up for a motherboard at about $60-80, ram $40-$50, then cpu (up to you..). You are looking at a short time and if you do it right you can mix the old parts with the new and be on medium or high settings pretty quickly.

Vita development kits are about 1900 euros, Sony has stated that costs are lower and less intensive than the psp (http://fudzilla.com/home/item/26006-sony-claims-vita-development-easier). I can't speak for the vita or any current gen console, but while in China this past fall studying Chinese one of my classmates was a part time designer for ubi who had worked on the psp and ps2 and various points and always pointed to the much smaller development teams and budgets of psp games. Vita could be different, but I highly doubt it. That isn't to say it is cheap to make, but does it cost anywhere near pc or ps3/360 games?

I had that problem until I realized I had my page file set too low... make sure it is set to auto or at least 2gbs if you only have 4gigs of ram like me.

It doesn't change the fact that $40+ for a handheld is crazy. The costs for making these games are nothing compared to pc or the consoles, so how can they justify charging so much? Because they need to recoup the money from the hardware and there is less competition, plain and simple.

The easiest way to put it on is to put it on haha. But seriously, just put a little in the middle and spread it out.... leave a little room on the sides and the pressure will push the extra to cover them without spilling out all over your motherboard. After that just let it cure for a few days (some say a week) and get busy overclocking.

I was able to use a vita for awhile (not mine... $250 is a bit much for a handheld at the moment) and so far don't really get the complaining ppl are doing about the os... the problems aren't that big and can prob be fixed in a few months with updates. I thought it looked great and felt good in my hands, the graphics were good, build quality seemed great, etc. The main problems I had with it were: 1. Game prices are high, 2. a little long load times, 3. low battery life. I think those three problems are ones that can't really be fixed in the long term, and thus should be the ones that people look at when deciding whether or not to buy one.

I used linksys forever and I would give it a 4 out of 5. I also used an smc for 3 years until two months ago when I plugged it in and it burned up. The smc was amazing, I had to reset it maybe once or twice a year at most, great speeds, easy setup, etc 5 out of 5. I replaced the smc with a netgear and so far it has been hit and miss, it has dropped the connection one or twice already, but has been a little faster than the linksys or smc. Overall I would say that when this netgear burns up (whenever that is) I am getting another smc and prob not have to replace it for another 3 or 4 years at least.

What is wrong with you Xerxcuss? You really have to create fake posts to gauge people's level of expertise on computers? If anything such a blatantly flawed system would suggest that your own ability to judge computer hardware is limited by the simple fact that you couldn't think of a better "test". How simple is it to just go over the threads and see what ppl are saying..... give it a few days and you learn who is full of s*** and who has good advice.

If you can stretch, this is a great buy.

I would suggest going the 4/3s route and get something like an ep3 or sony nex5 if you were to combine cameras and videos.... just make sure you get one with an msc lens (some kit lenses come with them) check out some video footage of them on youtube. As far as "video camera only" I am a noob and could hardly recommend anything.
