The x86 architecture is the most well documented and accessible in the world, having said that:
1. Many people buy off-the-shelf components and build their own rigs, it's cheaper than having to buy the whole unit (plus a brand name) for more $$$.
2. Current PC trends show the attempt at converting desktops into tablets, this I would perceive as either people buying more tablets than desktops, or Windows 8, that horrible mutation from M$ is having an impact on sales.
3. Who is included in these numbers, just Dell?? It would be interesting to cross reference sales from graphic card vendors, HD vendors for desktops, etc, etc. A spike in component sales vs pre-built systems would give us a better idea if PC is really on a decline or not.
"Over-delivering value" is corporate bullshit bingo! If M$ wants to go into the entertainment business, then market to the common populous and don't entice gamers with non-gaming features.
Nintendo has been milking their three or so IPs (Mario, Zelda, Kart... oh I forgot, Metroid) for a long time, it's time to get a new mascot out and a new game concept to strengthen those IPs. How about a new Metroid game!?
