For grind, I always go back to iso-ARPGs (Diablo and its various clones). Diablo 3 took a long time, but it's actually a pretty damn good game now, with lots of endgame content to grind. Path of Exile is the golden standard of creativity and originality in the genre. Moment to moment combat gameplay is obviously just like the rest of the genre, but the underlying systems for leveling, gear, skills and loot are all truly unique and engaging. Both of those are on consoles now too, and the console versions actually control very well, and are a blast to play. Then there's Grim Dawn, if you're on PC. Probably the closest thing, gameplay-wise, to a proper follow up to Diablo 2.

I'm gonna sit this console generation out. Just like the last one. I'll play all of the best games, with the best graphics and whatever control scheme I feel like. I'll play those games at my desk, or on my couch, on a big ass TV, using the same machine I've already had for years. And I'll have no backward compatibility issues, as I play brand new games, classics from the mid-2000s golden era, and all the way back to games that are older than most of the posters here, all seamlessly on the same machine.
I doubt it. If I understand correctly, the Series S is going to be running the same architecture and operating system as the X, just with lower end hardware. So, it's not like they have to make games for two entirely different systems, one of which is weaker than the other. They just have to have games lower some graphic settings when they're running on the S. And adjusting graphics settings is something that all games can do. They just don't give you access to the controls for it in the console versions because there wouldn't be a point when you've got fixed hardware.
So, go play an air combat game. You seem to be confused about what Flight Simulator is, and who they're marketing to.
Sounds like yet another in an endless string of inconvenieces and frustrations caused by technology assuming that it knows what you want, and acting automatically. I hate it so much. I have to disconnect the HDMI cable connecting my tv to the PS4, or else the PS4 turns itself on when I turn on the TV.
only ever got into Witcher 3. Loved the whole mass effect series (minus andromeda, obviously). That said, Witcher 3, on its own, is better than all the Mass Effect games, combined, by orders of magnitude. So, Witcher.
