@ConanTheStoner: seriously. Bloodborne is unplayable, as far as I'm concerned. I play all the Souls games at 60, and I tried several times to play Bloodborne, and it literally hurts my eyes. I get a splitting headache in 5 minutes just watching others play. If they put it on PC, that's a day one buy for me, but otherwise I guess I'll just never play it.

How common are 120hz TVs? I don't think I know anybody who uses one.

Also, color me sceptical about consoles actually doing it. 30 (or less) has been standard for decades, with a tiny handful of games going to 60, often only in specific circumstances. And every time anybody brings it up, the majority of console gamers can't tell you fast enough how little they care. I just can't see any console developers being willing to sacrifice detail and resolution in order to push framerates that aren't even standard in PC gaming.

For being a "media console", the XB1 sure sucks at media. I just plugged in an external HDD to my brother's XB1 last night, to try to watch some old movies I have that I can't find on streaming services. The thing couldn't play anything. It wanted me to search the store for an app to play mpeg and avi files. PS4 never had an issue with that. Played anything I wanted, right out of the box, no set up.

Is EA still publishing Crysis? Publishing the remaster? I would assume so, but the PC version being EGS exclusive, and not even on Origin, makes me wonder. If EA is no longer involved, I'll definitely be buying it as soon as it's on Steam. If EA is still getting the money for it, I'll be getting it earlier, on the high seas.

I played the beta for a few minutes, and it was a chore. An almost impossibly generic and unimaginative action game. It's crystal clear that this was never designed to be a fun game to begin with. It's just a lazy playground for young children to play dress up with their favorite movie characters.

@Yams1980: they've gotten away with that in the Sims, basically forever, because little to no actual gamers play it. It's the ultimate casual game. I know dozens of people who play the Sims almost religiously, and not a single one of them has ever played any other game, aside from phone games, or ever owned a console or gaming-capable PC. They're non-gamers, most of whom are actively opposed to playing actual video games, and the Sims is the only piece of not-work-related software on their office laptops.

It's almost as if he's trying to sell a game.

Seriously, this means nothing. The game is made by Microsoft, and the XB1 is their currently available console with a large install base. What's he gonna do, be honest? "XB1 owners, buy a new console or a PC to play this game."

Yeah, definitely check out Prey. The 2017 game is awesome. Pretty much what Bioshock was supposed to be (a modern System Shock). The 2007 Prey is also a fantastic game, but completely different, in just about every way. It's more of a Quake clone. It is on PC, but it might be hard to track down a copy. Last I checked, I couldn't find it on Steam, or any other digital stores. I keep it installed at all times, off of my old hard copy.
