Spot-on review. The scale is 1-10 people. Time to realize, a 6 is slightly above average.

I was waiting til 2015 in the first place - should be at least one price drop by then, and the extra time may convince MSoft to drop the connect pack-in and forced connectivity. The 360 and PS3 can keep me plenty busy until then.

I love you R* for making awesome games, but F**k you and your draconian video upload policy. You're becoming the very thing you satirize in your games, which is: just another version of the 'big government policies' and micromanagement/snooping into private lives that you make fun of in GTA: V.

Lifeinvader? Sounds like you guys, now. People are smart enough to avoid video-content on their own. And if they aren't - that's their fault.

Team Rockstar: internet police isn't something you ought to be arrogating to yourselves.

@power-fantastic @liquidzr0 I keep a much cheaper Microsoft console beside my PS3 for the same reason. In fact, between my PC and my 360, I'll bet I still don't come close to what you spent on a competent gaming rig.

@SNESNOSTALGIA2 Ditto. Glad to see other wisely skeptical gamers withholding judgment on this supposed 'game-changer' until release.

For my part, many of the game-play elements previewed in these videos make this game seem fairly esoteric, and not necessarily evolving how we 'play' in an open world, so much as how we 'think' about playing in an open world, if you get me.

Here's hoping it's a stellar new franchise for Ubi and for gamers - but: wait 'til it drops, before giving it props.

All I had to read was 'NCAA dumps EA' to be happy with this report.

@galactic88 As long as you're not doing it just because it says 'Sony' or PS4 on the box, I don't have a beef with that logic. Leaning towards the PS4 myself based on some of the issues you mentioned.

For people who actually understood the context of the video, and the study of consumer brand wars with associated esteem issues: congrats! You are the few, the proud, the minority of free thinkers who buy what fits for them, what works for them, and what entertains them with disregard for the name on the packaging.

For everyone else: congrats! You belong to the many, the emotionally depressed, the majority of sheeple who exist in the framework of corporations who tell you what fits you, what works for you, and what hypnotizes you into thinking you need their products to find a nice little niche' for yourself.

Don't be mad! Your army of zombies is vast, strong, and likely to catapult the world into further servitude, economic/social decay, and smartphone dispensing vending machines that tell you how many points of 'cool' you've just earned by not being able to actually touch, or try said smartphones out before buying - but hey! It's all about the brand, right? Because as everyone knows, these companies have 3 priorities: 1.) make you happy, 2.) make you feel special, and 3.) make you certain you just dropped 100's of dollars of hard earned money on the best, of the best, of the best technology humanly possible, because it has their name on it.

"Here, Microsoft, game publishers, please take away all my rights to the products I purchase from you. Please take more control over how I use my content, and please remove me from the equation when deciding what to do with my games after I shell out $$ for them. I didn't like being able to freely trade/sell/loan them to anyone I choose anyhow. While you're at it, please put my games n the 'cloud' so that I can stream them from your ever so supple breast like so much warm milk. We don't need trade-able hard copies, and who cares if we can even use the digital content we buy from console to console without any backwards compatibility. My money is yours, and so are the games and content we buy from you. And please make a mandatory internet connection necessary to make sure my games are properly registered, I don't mind if my ISP is doing a four to six our maintenance on my service preventing me from playing the XBOX One I bought, and if my internet goes off for other reasons, I'll be fine with my new console sitting useless."

What a bunch of sheep. Begging these corporations to remove customers from the equation of free trade after the initial purchase. No wonder the world is going to hell on a rocket sled.
