For me, It's consoles all the way. Ever since I've had my own house, I just hate the idea of sitting at a desk on a computer, to do anything which is why I don't have a desktop. I've made my house super comfortable, so my lounge is my main room, where I game, watch TV and ''entertain'' guests. If I need to do some serious work that requires me to be sharp I'll just sit at my dining room table with my mac.
If I was a PC gamer, playing games with my friends when they come over would be nearly impossible, and awkward.
I suppose if you still live with your parents and all you have is a bedroom, then PC gaming would be more appealing given that all you have is a bedroom. But when I have a lounge, sofa, big TV and great speakers, it would be criminal to set up a PC desk in my spare bedroom upstairs, all alone and anti-social while my wife is downstairs all comfy playing GTA.
I also don't buy the argument that you have to be a PC gamer to be a serious gamer. I started gaming on a Master System and haven't stopped since - So i wouldn't class myself as a casual gamer as it's a big part of my life and has been for the last 25 odd years.
I also don't understand why people argue over what's better. Aside from the obvious hardware differences, the rest is completely a personal choice. = )
