I kinda agree with what you are saying, but the game is too short. Four stories isn't enough to keep me playing for a long time. But I'm sure valve will fix that with DLC. Other than that, Left 4 Dead is a great game.
It doesn't matter. They are two totally different games to me. But if I absolutely had to choose, I would pick Gears 2. Halo 3 is taken too seriously. Everyone plays it like its life or death and that ruins the experience for me.
Yeah your disc drive is most likely dead. Since you've only had it for 13 months you can get it replaced for free. (Doesn't all 360's have a 3-year warranty now?) Just go on xbox.com and I think its under support. You have to fill out a little bit of info and they will send you a box to ship your 360 off in.
Yeah multiplayer in Gears has a huge learning curve. I played a ton of Gears 1 and I still suck at it lol. My only chance of getting kills is in horde mode haha.
Go to the support page on xbox.com. Microsoft is aware of this. Probably will stay like this until Wednesday. There most likely preparing for the update.
