Well damn, I didn't realize thief was coming out this soon. For some reason, I thought it was a 2014 holiday release.

@foxhound_fox: Neutral gamers have it rough in this forum because most people don't bother reading an entire post, instead finding the first praise for a company and assuming you're a blind fanboy.
It's a few steps from being legal as it is. It's basically legal here in California -- you can light up in a park, and people don't say anything. Honestly, it's a big waste of time. I partake on occasion, but it's really just a way to kill an afternoon without getting anything done. And that's pretty much where the argument starts and ends for me.
@Shewgenja: Funny thing is, I felt the Last of Us was released at an inconvenient time -- right after e3. After looking at all the ps4 and Xbox One demos, the first time I saw Last of Us, I was pretty underwhelmed... All those jagged edges... Oiy.
Here's a fun game -- Look up articles on Nintendo five, ten, and fifteen years ago. People falsely predicting Nintendo's demise has become the "trouble in the Middle East" of the video game industry. It will never not be going on. Nintendo's not going anywhere. They're rich. They're stubborn. And time and time again they turn themselves around.
@FFCYAN: I mean it's not necessarily better without the Gamepad, but it certainly didn't do all that much with it. I think a lot of people were looking to the next 3d Mario as the definition of what the Wii U is as a console, and while it was great, it didn't do anything that unique that couldn't have been achieved with a Wii-mote or standard pro controller-like layout.
I doubt it's ever going to be up to snuff in terms of where Xbox and Playstation are. Nintendo's made it perfectly clear they won't look to the competition as a basis for their decisions moving forward. I think that's both a good and a bad thing... As far as achievements go, I hope Nintendo doesn't implement them. I feel like achievements dictate the way I play.
When you get an artificial score attached to your games, I've found I experiment with the way I play a lot less, instead spending my playtime trying to achieve goals set by someone else.
The DRM thing actually had a lot of benefits, but people who make posts like this aren't willing to listen to logic, so I won't bother. I bought an Xbox One after buying the Wii U and PS4, mainly because Dead Rising 3 looked like a lot of fun. I was right, it's a great time.
