Hey....it is very crap of you to say that ghosts don't exist. You should at least have included all divine beings in the bunch as there's no scientific proof of their existence either.
Personally I think the game is beautiful, very well done and put together but is ultimately booooooring as hell.
It is a nice attempt but (again...personally) failed to connect to me at any level.
I hope this dev team of ex-Bioshock guys insist in their storytelling method as I see the pontential it has, maybe even a story with multiple endings in the future but Gone Home was just not for me.
That's why Local Co-Op will always beat any form or shape of network multiplayer and in this matter, tabletop does beat vÃdeo games. It is always better to have friends close and laugh out loud about something stupid.
Otherwise it is like each one opening a beer in their own houses and telling the others about it via skype...it seriously lacks soul.
@AggrandizedUser @oldschoolvandal Sure, context matters but you cannot always re-invent the wheel.
To be honest, you kind of took my comment in a diferente direction... I meant that I will get the game regardless os the review because that's what I want to play and a new setting for great mechanics is welcome. Not to mention that even her saw the story as a good part of it.
Since you took it in that direction....I can easily argue against the score as well.
Need examples? God of War 1, 2 and 3 have pretty much the same mechanics. Do they get (arguably) low scores for that?
Not to mention our yearly re-releases Call of Duty and Assassins Creed, there's barely any noteworth change....do you see any low scores there?
If you look at the 3 Bioshock games they also do not have any huge gameplay difference from one to the other. What set them appart? Story. Any low scores here?
Again, my original intente was not to bitch about the score, instead only say that I know what I like and want and that I will play it regardless.
