umm.... why is this surprising or even a bad thing?

theyve already sold tons and tons of DS's and Wii's, there's only so many people left that hadn't bought those units. And its not like they put out a new console that needed to recoup the costs. Pretty much everything theyre making is profit this year.

Verdict: not grim.

i think playing fps with a keyboard and mouse isnt as realistic or immersive as a gamepad. in real life guns are heavy and its not simply instant point and click.

i grew up in the 90's... but **** yeah, vice city had the best soundtrack. i still feel nostalgic when i think about being in high school and driving around ingame, shooting stuff up to the upbeat 80's music. and it had the best story too, fun and violent...a perfect fit for its medium.

gta 4's soundtrack was... godawful...

grand theft auto 4's "realism" made the series a dreadful bore.

well, the game was made by programmers... not cormac mccarthy. i never expect great writing/stories from videogames. immersion and fun... sure. deep andthought-provoking experiences....no.

1. I like the challenge of using a controller. Sure the mouse is more precise, but using a joystick is a whole different skill set. There is a sense of accomplishment when you are better than everyone else.

2. I don't like carpal tunnel. After years of KB/M my left hand is like a claw.

3. Most importantly I like chillin on my sofa with my feet kicked back playing on my flatscreen with surround sound--not something that is easily accomplished with a KB/M.

I like both, but both have their advantages.

Mr_Ditters

this... i was a champion of kb/m for years, ever since team fortress classic... but ivefound, very recently, thatplaying with a gamepad on xbox live is a lot more fun. it feels more realistic, on pc im bascially just pointing and clicking.
