Alright, I've officially become fed up with the 360, so I'm gonna get a PS3. I plan on getting the $500 MGS4 bundle in June, and I'm currently saving towards that. I have a few questions about it though 1. I have a PSP Slim. What PS3 content can be played using Remote Play? Like can I play the downloadable games on it? And can I watch movies on the PS3's hard drive using it? 2. How exactly does the DivX playback work? Can I just drop my videos on an external hard drive, plug it in, then watch them? Or do I have to specially encode them? 3. Is it really THAT easy to use memory on the PS3? Like can I just take any external drive I have, plug it in, and have it recognized by the PS3? I mean, it seems too good to be true, after using the 360 for a year and a half lol Sorry if these are n00b question, I just wanna make sure I get all my facts straight before I spend $500

Okay, I found it's official GameSpot page. The release date there doesn't say anything beyond March 2008, but one of the previews lists it as March 6. Here's hoping to a release on thursday :)

Is flOw coming out for PSP? Because they have that trailer for it on the PC PSP store, and at the end it flashes the PSP logo. If it is coming out for PSP, anyone know when? I really wanna get it.

I've been thinking about selling my fat PSP along with a few games and a memory stick so I can use the money for a Slim. I'm just curious about a few things, though. Is the screen any better than the Fat's, like with ghosting and stuff? Cuz that's a major problem with my Fat. Also, are the controls really more responsive? Also, do games run faster with the extra RAM? These are the only things holding me back from selling it immediately, and any help is greatly appreciated :D

Nevermind, I got it all sorted out. I tried putting my disc with the BC update in it again, and it acted like it never got the update. Man, first the Xbox Live server crashes, now this.

Okay, seeing as I never got around to playing it when it first came out, I decided to buy Indigo Prophecy on Xbox Originals. I bought it, waited for it to finish downloading, and then booted it up. I got the familiar white Xbox screen, but then an error came up and said that the game wasn't supported by my Xbox. WTF?! I just spent $15 on it, and it won't let me play it! I mean, why is it doing this? I thought I installed the BC update, and even if I didn't, isn't it supposed to prompt me to download it from XBL? HELP!!

Y'see, I think MGSPO and the classic MGS games are like 2 extremes. On one hand, we have the overhead camera-style, classic radar, and military compunds of the first few games, and then we have the more action-styled, fully controled camera and outdoors setting of the newer games. What I want is a fusion of the two. I want a sort of back-tracking adventure like MGS1&2, where everything takes place in a relatively small area, and you unlock new areas as you progress, and you have to go back and forth between areas. But I also want the 3d camera and gunplay.

I've been hearing rumors and loose talk about new MGS games, and I also started thinking of ways to improve the MPO formula for it's sequel, so I decided to make this 2-in-1 thread. Rumors: According to EGM's Loose Talk in their holiday issue, a new MPO is in the works, and according to them, "it's not a spinoff, but hearkens back to the series's older games." Now, take this how you want, but my money is on an MPO remake of Metal Gear 1 and 2 for PSP. Play through the games that started it all with the awesome MPO controls. Wishlist: Here's what I hope they do for MPO2:
  • When using the auto-lock aiming, the camera goes over the shoulder like MGO2 for PS3. That way, it'll make it easier to see where you're aiming and such
  • Crouch-walking, kinda like MGS4 and MGO. Just tap X to crouch, and then when you move he won't do that awkward transition to lying prone, he'll just keep moving. It'll make movement much more fluid
  • Make the online more like the traditional MGO. This means that instead of having a set inventory, let us choose our weapons and equipment when we respawn. They could even use a point system like MGO2, where you have a set number of points, and each weapon and item takes some of them, limiting how much stuff you can have.
  • Make the single-player more of a connected adventure. One of the problems I had with the first MPO is that you go back and forth between a truck and the various levels. I liked it much more when you had these inter-connected areas that actually led somewhere. It makes it feel more like a big journey, like you're falling deeper down the rabbit hole.
What would you guys like to see in the sequel?
