Has anyone downloaded the Syphon Filter Combat Ops game yet? If so what's it like and is it worth $10 ?sickman87
Right now, no. It's not worth it. But that's probably due to the fact that there was only TWO FREAKING PEOPLE IN THE ENTIRE LOBBY!!! ME INCLUDED!! I say wait a few days until people start really buying it, cuz then the server won't be completely empty

You can't really compare, say, the PSP and the Wii. They're very different beasts. Speaking for myself, the PSP is better for me than my PS2 or Xbox 360 because of how busy I've been. I don't have the time to sit down and play something big, but getting a quick bit of gaming in while I'm at lunch at school or something is really convenient.

And I know it's only the first day, these are just some suggestions of things I'd like to see in the future.

It could seriously streamline things if they made it stand-alone. To download something now, you have to first get the loader app, then download a special license file, then it downloads the game (at less than stellar speeds, I might add) and loads it onto your PSP. I just think it would be cool if they could merge the PSP Media Center program thing with this, and then we'd have an all-in-one program for loading your PSP up. All I'm saying is it would make it much easier.

I just wish there was more stuff in general. For instance, they should be able to port games like Calling All Cars and flOw with relative ease. And like I mentioned in my first post, they NEED to make it a standalone application like Zune Marketplace or iTunes.

I was completely ecstatic when I heard Sony had finally launched the PSP store, mainly because I don't own a PS3. I was slightly disappointed, though, when I found out it was just a website with a program that you install in the background on your computer. I was hoping for a stand-alone iTunes-ish application, something I could stick on my quick launch. Another thing they need is more original content, like the Xbox Live Arcade. If I could get games like that to take with me on the go, I'd be really happy. Anyone else agree?

Okay, my mom and dad told me and my brother that we could either get a Wii or PS3 for Christmas, and we're seriously leaning towards PS3, but I wanna know a few things before I decide to get it: 1. Remote Play: Can you really do anything? I mean, can I have, say, Resistance in the disc drive and play it from my PSP? And on that topic, can I remap the PS3 buttons to PSP as I see fit?

2. PS1 games: After I transfer them to my PSP, can I put them onto my computer? I frequently rearrange my memory card contents, so I wanna know if I can just store it on my computer when I'm not using it. Also, how big are they on average?

3. Playstation Store: How user-friendly is it? Like is the interface easy to use and stuff? And also, if I lose my data somehow, can I just re-download anything I've purchased? Sorry, if these are stupid questions, I just wanna know all I can before I make a final decision.

I'd definitely recommend either of the Syphon Filter games, Logan's Shadow is the better of the two. Also, SOCOM Tactical Strike comes out on Tuesday and that game looks AWESOME. There's also Worms 2, which is a really fun diversion.

My brother's PSP did that, and unfortunately we couldn't fix it. If you still have warranty on it I suggest you use it and get a new PSP.
