[QUOTE="Star650"]Go for the 80 GB, with games forcing you to install 4&5 GB installation it is better to have a bigger HDD.anewperfectday

Go for the 60gb. You can always upgrade your hard drive. Mine went from 60gb to 160gb. Plus, I prefer 60gb.

Well I'm planning on upgrading the HDD eventually, regardless of which version I choose. The main things though is if the list BC titles is big enough on the 80, or how much it would cost to get a dualshock along with the 60.

Okay, I need some help deciding on which PS3 version to buy. I was originally going to buy the Gunmetal Grey MGS4 PS3, but when I found out it was $600 for a 40GB, it killed any thoughts i had of buying it. So, I decided that PS3 or no, I'm gonna buy the MGS4 collectors edition (I'm an artist, and MGS has always had some of my favorite art) and get the PS3 as soon as I can, which should be by the end of June or early July. Here are my options: 40GB PS3 - comes with Dualshock, no PS2, and smallest HDD that will probably get upgraded in a month ($400) 60GB PS3 - comes with Sixaxis, and Dualshock will be another $50 if I wanna get one. PS2 hardware ($350-$550 depending on where I get it) 80GB PS3 - Comes with Dualshock, PS2 emulation, biggest HDD of the bunch, won't need to upgrade it for a while ($500) Which do you guys think is the best value? Should I risk online auctions for the chance that maybe I could get a 60GB for cheaper, but no Dualshock? Or should I just spend the flat amount for the other 2?

I, as a huge mgs fan understand what you are saying here, and alot of ppl are saying more or less the same things. But what you and all those ppl dont understand is that this is what mgs is now, and what it has allways been. And as i've said before any1 who has played mgs1/2/3 knows that pretty much every abillity is easier to use in mgo then it has ever been before. Somethings like the animations i agree with, but all the gameplay stuff you and others want to change would change the game to much! It wouldnt be a metal gear game any more! Many of you guys are pretty much saying "this is my idea of the perfect online tps, why cant they make it like that?" But its not supposed to be your perfect online tps, its supposed to be mgs online, and mgo is exactly that! They've done a great job! And i and many other mgs fans love it the way it is! (but its not perfect, as you said, some animations and some other small stuff should get some minor fixes)nc_soldier
No, it wouldn't change the spirit of the game, it would make it better. Firing from the hip is something we've been able to do in other MGS games, why not this one? And I myself am a MASSIVE fan of MGS, but even I think you're bordering on obsessive fanboyism. And does anyone know if the final retail version of MGO will use the PSN ID? Or will it use the Konami ID?

Does the PS3 support Wireless N? Because if it does that would be awesome. And anewperfectday, you're a very helpful person :D

All you have to do is get a 2.5" Laptop SATA drive and you can swap them. It's one of the main selling points of the PS3 for me And yeah, just run the backup utility to back up your data to an external drive. It's actually quite simple.

The game will be, in a word, abso-freaking-lutely amazing. The bundle is even better, as you get the game, the PS3, and a DualShock 3 for the same price as a standard PS3. Jawsome.

Okay, think of this a different way. If they did announce it for the PSN or w/e, it would effectively kill any and all future sales of the game on the original platform. Does that sound like good business plan to you?
