That card will barely play any games at all. Well maybe some very old games, but if we're talking any new games, then no, not at all. You're going to have to find a better card than that, and expect to pay atleast 100 dolllars for atleast a decent videocard to play all these new games online. I would suggest maybe one of the new ati cards that are now powerfull.

[QUOTE="mattpunkgd"][QUOTE="sm3llyd3c"]Are you sure that I dont need a better processor, just a better graphics card?ferret-gamer
Yes your processor is fine. If you upgraded to a e8400 (which you would need a new mobo too i believe) you would only get like 5 fps more at max. With the new video card you'll get at least 10 more fps, it depends on the game though, but most likely 10-30 more.

his processer is already a bottleneck for his 9600gt and you want him to upgrade the card without a new processor. A pentium D dual core is much weaker than even the wimpiest C2D

My thoughts exactly.

Go into your Prefs then go under the forums tab and if the editor is on (Thing near the sig box) click the check box next to it so its off and that should speed things up a ton. That thing is evil and makes everything run like a snail fastesttruck

When people put you down for putting them down for complaining about things online that they should be complaining about in real life, yet are to scared to even attempt to do it in real life.

I suggest that you upgrade your cpu to a E8400 as cpus do play an imporant part in lag free gameplay, and maybe your videocard. First time I upgraded my cpu, all my games went form laggy to extremly smooth. I upgraded from an pentium4 3.2 to a E4500 2.2 which is actually one of the slowest of the core2duo's.

[QUOTE="mark30001"]Ok I can't stay on here all day long like you guys with the "over 4000 posts" guys. Obviously you guys are internet junkies who live online to get the most posts on a game site. Don't listen to everything some guy in a business suit or lab coat tells you. I may be in some regular clothing but that doesn't mean I can't use common sense about certain things.metroidfood
You can't use common sense to determine the chemical toxicity of a substance. That's what the extensive laboratory reports are for. So yes, I'm going to trust a guy in a lab coat more than you.
They hide it because they know people wouldn't want to consume that stuff, beacuse they know its bad for them.mark30001
A lot of people think dihydrogen monoxide is bad for them, but that doesn't change the fact that it's water, an essential chemical for life. People are easily scaremongered into believing things with no scientific evidence.

I think you can use common sense in senseing if your body reacts badly to an additive in food. I have no idea what dihydrogen monoxide is, im guessing its water, but then again im not going to come in here typing terms no one understands and make arguments that have nothing to do with what im talking about, just to impress you guys. Everyone makes the excuse that the FDA wouldnt allow it on the market if it weren't safe, but then why is this penutbutter outbreak going on if these guys are so good at thier job?

This also happens to me, now I dont know if this happens to everyone or not. But quite frankly it annoys me because it often makes me look like a moron when I misspell words due to me having to wait for the words to pop up in the text box. Also it takes a long time for me to delete a single word yet alone an entire paragraph.

[QUOTE="mark30001"] Ok, jack. One last response to what you just said. I said it doesn't take knowing better than some guy in a lab coat to use common sense. As we have alot of professional people who do scandals and many other things. Obvoisuly you one of those guys who belive everything some professional guy says just because they have that professional job. You probably believe the incident with the power outages were accidents, when infact they were done on purpose to try to get people to pay more money. If people who were so professional were so good at their job, then we wouldnt be in this depression at the moment. I know you like to believe you won this so called arguement that is in your mind. But people that go back and forth like this spend way to much time on the internet. Im just laying down the facts. It seems you have a hard time accepting facts, but then your probably going to try and say I have a hard time accepting the so called facts about how msg is really safe. I bet everytime you type something you believe you typed it with your mind in your godly voice. Your trust in the governement and what it says is overwhelmingly foolish.metroidfood

Ad hominem: attacking the person and avoiding the argument. Popularity: because it's commonly accepted, it must be true. Anti-authority: because the government/experts say it, it must be wrong because they are lying to us. Confirmation bias: you have already reached a conclusion and any evidence to the contrary is false. I think this sums up your "arguments" pretty nicely. Now, if you could just support it with some facts, like your opposition has already done, then maybe we can have an intellectual discussion.

Coming from someone with over 3000 posts. Perhaps you should try having intellectal discussions in real life.
