I think the "Used Game" market is different in every country. In Canada, a used game that was released new a week ago, is 5 bucks cheaper. New = $59.99 (support the game developers / publishers / and console. Used = $54.99 (support the store who bought it from people for thirty bucks) Used game market is over ten billion dollars per year. Of coarse the consoles want a piece of that action!
Okay. Xbox One is what it is. The center of my living room so I can watch TV, while I listen to music, look a trailer and try to figure out what they plan to do about the "Used Game" market. Of coarse I know gamers will be screwed in the end. Now I can relax as M$ wants to commit to Japan! Yippeee!
I can't buy this game. Heavy Rain froze on me and after some research, a lot of people had the same problem. No fix was issued. Why on earth should I trust this company?
I think that to fight used game sales, the consoles will be able to rent games. Play the game for a week for ten bucks or something like that. Maybe that is what the streaming is for. Some people spend 30 bucks on a new game, only to beat it in a weeks time. They'd be saving money
@Senor_Kami think of it like your favorite food... like steak. Eat it once in a while and it's great! Eat it every day and you will get sick of it. Or die from a heart attack. Right now the buzz is around new IP's "Watch Dogs", "Remember Me", "The Last Of Us". Some people buy very few games a year.
@crazycat690 @GnugnaGnagna Have to agree. I think for them it's just money. It will crash the way of Guitar Hero. People will get sick of the same thing. They want new and better.
