@dmblum1799 I think Naughty Dog would be a pretty safe investment. Blizzard isn't the only company that makes money or is making consitently amazing games.
@SpookyJack It sounds like you're more disappointed with the gameplay than the graphics. Besides one's expectations of something never match up to the real product.
@Adam_Orth @pongley It's like complaining that the burger at Burger King doesn't look like the one in the advertisement. We all know that the menu picture on the drive through board was made by a real chef in a real kitchen with a professional photographer there. We all know the kid working in the Taco Bell/McDonalds doesn't have a culinary arts degree and doesn't care that you taco/burger looks nothing like real food.
@zerofrust I came here to say EXACTLY what you said. We all know that the menu picture on the drive through board was made by a real chef in a real kitchen with a professional photographer there. We all know the kid working in the Taco Bell/McDonalds doesn't have a culinary arts degree and doesn't care that you taco/burger looks nothing like real food.
For me it's that feeling of being all-powerful or being able to explore or win or whatever that I like about video games. That's also why I don't like super-challenging ones. I play video games to relax and unwind and dying a thousand deaths, seeing game over screens is not my idea of a great time.
Where else on the internet can we observe Game Journalism making proper fun of trolls and fanboyism? This show and The Point are some of the MAIN reasons I come to GameSpot! Please don't cancel Feedbackula!!!!
@Raphy_Turtle aside from the obvious batman vs. assassin or gadgets vs. swords & hidden blades is there any REAL difference between combat in modern assassins creed games and the batman arkham games? I love both Assassins Creed games and the Batman Arkham games so which ever it might borrow more from is totally OK with me. :)
@dannyodwyer The point you made at the end is absolutely what Nintendo needs to hear. Instead of taking innovations in hardware take some more innovations with software. I picked up a 3DSXL but couldn't get into the 3D nor the second screen plus it felt cheaply made (so I returned it). I'd give anything to have something like a Nintendo Vita where I could play Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, Donkey Kong, Lugi's Mansion ETC. with just one big beautiful screen and no second screen or stylus. This is my problem with the Wii U also. I don't want gimick controls (aka Wii) and I don't want to have a second screen I have to look at (such as the tablet controller). I also don't want rehashes of 2D Mario or even Donkey Kong. Mario and Donkey Kong were once Kings in 3D platforming and open worlds...and they were innovators then...what happened since?
@electroban You make a lot of excellent points right up until the end. I choose to go console not out of stupidity or for money or ease of use but for exclusive games. I refuse to buy two consoles that will overlap 90% of their games but the PlayStation exclusives (not to mention console exclusives like RDR) I have are almost half my collection of PS3 games and that far outweighs the negatives of console vs. pc in my opinion.
