I have no reason to believe at this point that the next GeOW game is going to be bad, even though I thought Judgement was a steaming pile of dung, but I have no reason to believe it's going to be good either. The reason is because we literally know NOTHING about this game, other than the fact it's being made by a new dev. And that fact alone is reason enough to be skeptical at this point.

No. The argument only comes up in relation to ports of console games. They without question look better on PC, but they were designed originally as console games. How could consoles be holding back PCs when the games in question weren't originally intended to be PC games. PC gaming is ultimately defined by PC exclusives. In that regard we are able to see how the PC is capable of doing things that a console can't even come close to doing.

I'm not techspert so if someone can please explain to me what a new SDK will accomplish in improving the performance of the X1 please. I know better drivers will help, but that's software based. The hardware in the X1 is final though. How will anything but better drivers make any difference at this point. And if that's the difference in the new SDK, can't you just install the upgrade on the current SDK?

I didn't realize they were in direct competition with each other. I'll buy and play and, if they're anything like Dark Souls and TW2, enjoy the shit out of both.
