Wow are the lems on this board a bunch of ass clowns. Any problems with Sony are not related to the gaming division of which he headed up only one region of that division. When Ballmer announced his retirement the message from Lems was nothing but praise although we know there was a lot of pressure for him to leave. Whatever the reason for his departure may be, we can at least say that he's leaving while the department that he personally headed up is enjoying huge success.

The combined populations of the US and Canada is roughly 350 million. The population of Japan is just over 125 million. Now the PS4 sold about a million the first 24 hours in the US and Canada combined. We don't know what It sold in 48 hours, but it's likely that by day two there were very few PS4s left from the first day rush. So if Japan sold 322k during their first 48 hours, then the sales per capita of the North American and Japanese launches are actually not that disproportionate. I'd say the Japanese launch is actually going better than some people here realize.
When I saw who's thread this was I had a feeling it would suck. As soon as I clicked on it all my expectations were confirmed. This thread sucks.
@hamster3_3: yeah, I saw some of his other posts. Definitely a fakeboy. Shame, the comedy gold here would have been spectacular.
There is no doubt with proper optimization and better drivers the XB1's performance will improve. To suggest it will catch up to the PS4 you'd have to believe that only the XB1 is capable of evolving and improving while throughout the gen the PS4 will stay where it is today. Maybe the XB1's performance will come closer to where the PS4's is today, but by then the PS4's performance will have also greatly improved. The fact is there will always be a performance gap.
