If anything I think the opposite is true. Without the fear of putting your money in the losing format now more people can make up their mind and purchase a PS3, not only for games but also for HD movies.
Because some genius @ Gamespot decided the forum directory was too cluttered. Like many of you said the PS2 is far from being a "legacy" console. It's really a bad decision. There was a thread in the Feedback and Site enhancements board about this issue. I'd suggest more people post in there to let them know how you feel; maybe they will reconsider their decision.
Create an account on a different country and use an international card.
That is what I did since there is no PSN in my country either (Uruguay).

Did you actually add funds to your accout? I've created a US account, but I cannot add any funds because when you are prompted for your CC billing info it automatically fills out the country from your account and there is no way to change it. Since you cannot enter the right billing address the transaction is not approved.
The PS Store to me, feels more like a webpage than part of XMB. It might be, I dunno, it's not really a bother. Maybe it's because there is a cursor involved, lol, I dunno.
And of course... more free stuff. lol. Seriously, the Warhawk "expansion" shouldnt cost $7. It should be free, the game came with only 5 maps. Granted, it did come with a Bluetooth headset... uh... WHATEVER. I WANT IT FREE!!!

Development costs lots of money. Would you work for free? $7 will not put you into the poor house. You probably spend more than that at fast food joints.

Sure, development costs money, but they should also think about customer satisfaction and loyalty. That's much harder to get for any company. They could've released the expansion for less or even for free thinking about it as an investment for the future, ie. the sequel that will definately arrive.
I love Resistance 1 and I know I am going to love Resistance 2! But I don't know why everyone hates the 3rd person Narrative story. I frankly enjoyed it alot.williamjuly2004
I don't hate it, but I would've preffered cut scenes where we could watch the hero, more like a movie, you know.

This is a little off topic, but since you mentioned the DS and we're takling Ubisoft, how come Assassin's Creed is not coming to the PSP but there is a DS version in development?
A better way to clean things up would be to keep separate boards for all platforms and give us the option to build our own boards list. I know it would be a major task and would probably take a lot of time, but in the end I think it would be the best solution.
Regarding the Legacy Platforms board here's my two cents: It is too early to include the PS2 and Xbox in that board, not sure about the Gamecube. Also, even though there's the suggestion to include the platform in your topic title, do you think people will actually do that? People wanting to talk about PS2 or Xbox games are gonna turn elsewhere because they will get tired of sifting through a bunch of posts that are of no interest to them. I know I would.
