You shouldn't need any special router. What you do need is increase your connection speed (bandwidth) with your internet provider.

i have no idea about headsets but i'd like some info too....i have owned one for a while now but volume is so damn soft...it's hard as to hear people....(the volume is on 5 (highest) on the ps3) and i put it right up on the headset itself....the volume is WAY below what i would hear on the phone.....

the headset had ps3 on the packaging and everything...is the volume low for everyone or what??...probably just got a dudd one but i dunno

I have a similar problem. I'm using a Sony Ericsson headset, the volume is set to 5 but I have to yell to be heard. But the same headset works fine with my phone.

I don't know what some of you are thinking. The only way to set up an internet connection is by having a PC. So yeah TC you need a PC to play PS3 online otherwise how do you get your internet setup? Now if you just use the Wi fi and steal off someone eles's connection then no you don't need a PC.-Renegade

You are completely wrong, my friend. You don't need a PC at all. You just need a modem/router that's connected to your ISP. Any set up required such as IP address, DNS, etc. is handled in the PS3 settings menu.

Thanks Greg, Rfactor looks really nice. I'm building a new PC next month and I'll certainly give it a try.

[QUOTE="huriona"]Plus they ruined NFS & NASCAR !!IllegalGamer

I wouldnt say they ruined NASCAR, just last game wasnt as good. Same with NFS. NFSUG1 & 2 were good!. Pro Street is too easy and boring.

I think NFSGU1 & 2 were just ok; they took out cop chases whicch was the best feature/mode in the series. and instead introduced drifting & drag racing (yikes!).

so this isnt real http://www.codeweavers.com/products/cxlinux/rolltide101x

Sure, it's real. But have you noticed there's a compatibility list? As of now they support only 27 games.
Also, you have to make sure you can run one of the Linux distributions listed in the requirements section on your PS3. (Sorry, can't help you with that one)

If you ask me, it's too much hassle for 27 games but if you have the time & patience it would be a nice tech experiment to try.

Here's a list of the fixes and changes included in this update. No mention of new parts of the island nor custom soundtracks, though.

Yes, they do. Now I know there's a monkey in the game :)

Seriously now, maybe it's just me, but all I see is many pieces of a huge puzzle and wouldn't even know how to start piecing it together. So what I'm trying to say is no, they do not reveal too much.

I'm not sure if we are talking about the same thing, but according to the countdown on the Japanese website there are still 17 hours left until the announcement.
