Honestly it's up to you the player what you choose. All I can give is my opinion, WoW can be really great game if get in a good guild and make some good friends.
If you try to play WoW solo well then its pretty luck based on what kind of people you will meet up with. I've been playing since start WoTLK and mop is ok.
But for me I found I enjoy single player rpgs much more fun over treadmill/theme parkmmorpgs.
Also I don't really feel the 15$ a month is worth to me.
Well I gave into temptation and bought Deus Ex: Human Revolution and its DLC's. leaving me with $8.61. I think I'm gonna end up waiting for fallout NV on Xmas sale if it don't end up as a flash sale or today sale at 75%. But I think I've picked up plenty of games so far to keep until then :)
One thing about both games its really easy to loose track of time when your just messing around in game. I console commanded myself a minigun for some Fun :)
I'm still using windows XP but there games I miss out on it because of it but my attention is else where these days. Though I maybe be upgrading soon XP bugs have been getting more worse.
