@64-bit The upside is Nintendo has no DRM, No subscription for Online, and no restrictions on buying and selling used games.

@jaoprime Actually they did outsell the current gen systems. And they did so with the Wii. Worldwide Nintendo has sold over 99 million systems. Microsoft and Sony doesn't even come close to that. And correct me if I am wrong but 3DS outsold PS Vita by a significant margin.

People like to say the WiiU isn't even outselling the PS3 or 360. Well no shit. the PS3 and 360 have been on the market for 8+ years. The WiiU has been on the market for less than a year now. A console's legacy is not built in its first year on the market. Look at the respective launches for the PS3 and 360 given the same amount of time the WiiU has been on the market. Most games on the PS3 and 360 during their launches look nothing like what is on the system today. Also those systems struggled after their launches too until they got games and a price cut. Microsoft is trying to sell their next system at 500 dollars and Sony tried that with the PS3 and they ate the cost for quite some time.

@y2guru Funny, people said the 3DS would get trashed by the Vita and look what happened there. And if by next gen you refer to the DRM policies and anti used game measures Microsoft tried to shove down people's throats then no thanks. I am happy with my WiiU that lets me trade in my used games, that lets me play online without a subscription and that doesn't require me to be connected to the internet once every 24 hours to validate. Microsoft may have reversed its policies but only because of how much hell they were given by gamers. Once first party titles are on the system I think it will do just fine much like the 3DS.

@rushiosan Which ideas of Nintendo's do you find stupid? Is it the fact you can do whatever you want with your used games? Or maybe you don't like that you don't have to pay for online? Or maybe you don't like the fact that WiiU has no form of DRM whatsoever like the Xbox One was going to have until Microsoft choked on their own words at the mercy of countless gamers who were too smart to submit themselves to infringements on their consumer rights?

@FajitaEataxx Comparing a brand new console that is at this point less than a year old to a console that has been on the market for 8+ years.... yeah I really see the logic there (*Sarcasm*)

So if a game is difficult its reason to give it a horrible score? By that logic Fire Emblem Awakening, Dark Souls, or Xenoblade should have gotten far worse scores because the difficulty in those games can spike too.

Some of the bosses in Xenoblade are particularly challenging. I realize this is one person's experience and opinion of the game. IGN praised its difficulty loving the challenge the game puts forth. The only negative thing IGN had to say was its restrictive mission structure and how the game is divided into levels rather than let you explore at your leisure.

I think its refreshing when developers present gamer's with a challenge. We have grown too accustomed to being handheld and having the game spoon-fed to us. Remember that phrase "Nintendo hard?"

I feel that while the score may be a reflection of her time with the game, the game shouldn't be lambasted for its difficulty when other games like Dark Souls got excellent reviews for a far more difficult experience than a mere "frustrating difficulty spike"

Is it possible that Tom Mc Shea is wearing a Carolyn Petit costume?!

@mumrahh1 Umm.. WiiU does not need bluetooth. It is Wifi capable and works just fine with a wireless network. And why even bring up Bluetooth? Bluetooth is better for small devices I.e. phones etc.

"Bluetooth technology is useful when transferring information between two or more devices that are near each other when speed is not an issue, such as telephones, printers, modems and headsets. It is best suited to low-bandwidth applications like transfering sound data with telephones (i.e. with a Bluetooth headset) or byte data with hand-held computers (transferring files) or keyboard and mice.

Wi-Fi is better suited for operating full-scale networks because it enables a faster connection, better range from the base station, and better security (if configured properly) than Bluetooth."

@mumrahh1

And as far as your hype on the PS4. Sure it has some nice social features and decent internals but as IGN editor Collin Campbell stated "The games look good but not that much better than the PS3"

"It dawned on me, even as I sat enjoying the games, that PlayStation 4 is going be just as neat as we’d all hoped. But also that the incredible PS1-PS2 jump is never going to come again. Nor the enormous PS2-PS3 leap.

The astonishing visual fidelity being shown in New York, is quite a bit nicer than the gorgeous fidelity I can find on my PS3 at home. These are lovely-looking games. But they are not so much greater than PS3 that my tongue is lolling around my curly chest-hair." -- Collin Campbell

So if the PS4 isn't that much of a drastic jump over the PS3 why pour tons of resources into the WiiU and only increase the cost for the consumer. The disparity between graphics will not be as great as it was between Wii, PS3, and 360 last gen. We have reached a plateau where HD games look quite good. Nintendo always has placed affordability over graphical grunt. A lesson Sony would do well to learn. It was not the PS3 or the 360 that dominated last gen in terms of pure sales. It was a 'underpowered' standard definition system that appeal to everyone...not just a given demographic of gamers but rather everyone.

So there is a chance that Bungie's next project (Destiny) may come to WiiU.

http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2013/02/turns_out_destiny_could_be_coming_to_the_wii_u_after_all

The WiiU is listed in the game's source code.

Also during the documentary video about the game they make a quote "My Body is Ready" Anyone who is a Nintendo fan knows this statement is associated with Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils Aime.

Also WiiU owners may see Watchdogs come to the system. As it was listed for preoorder on Gamestop's website.

What do you think?

@Albaficas Nintendo seems to have done alright with Metroid, Mario and Zelda all this time...How many Grand Theft Auto's or God of War's can people play before saying the same thing about those franchises?
