Conduit by definition is just a cover for electrical wires (the name implies they just thought up the first "cool word" that came to mind).

Dingerious

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/conduit

1. A pipe or channel for conveying fluids, such as water.

2. A tube or duct for enclosing electric wires or cable.

3. A means by which something is transmitted:an arms dealer who served as a conduit for intelligence data.

4. ArchaicA foundtain.

Conduit in terms of the third definition, would only work well if your whole game's purpose was the gathering of intelligence (and sharing that intelligence with others). As in if you were the SOURCE of information/arms and move the information/weapons from one to another (hence a conduit, vehicle). Using it in this fashion to describe an action game/shooter is just superficial.

The point of the name Conduit is not to show the game is about being a Conduit (arms/intelligence dealer). So Conduit is just a snazy name nothing more.

My point: the game is made by High Voltage Software...and what does it really matter. A game's name doesn't have to make sense.

Gosh! Why do people have to take my comments so literally...

I dont have a wii but I totally agree with you, as a 360 gamer I honestly look at some of the wii games and wish I could play them. Madworld, Deadly Creatures, The Conduit, Mariokart, Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, No More Heroes, Monster Hunter3- just a few for example. When I do get my hands on a wii im supporting any dev whos got theguts to make an ambitious title for the hardcore

Well the grass is always greener when you don't own the console and play the games. In all honesty your satisfaction of your games is all proportional to your expectations. IGN is just an intermediary that tries to predict your satisfaction of a game before you buy it by giving the game a number value. They tend to buy into hype and can be sold out to give a game higher reviews. Next time you see a game with high reviews don't be surprised if that same company has plastered the site with their ads.

How many months will it take for the 360 to score its First AAA exclusive this year? its really sad to be honest with yah. i hate seeing MS getting beaten down like this so early. i dont even know what game will score them that first AAA this year. Halo wars flopped Star Ocean 4 well that didnt do to well. so what game can be that game that brings MS back on top again?

spike6566
I'm gonna say 14, maybe 15...oh this year... well I don't think thats going to happen. With the heavy hitters: GTA IV, Halo 3, Gears II, and Fable II out already people are going to be hard pressed to surpass those games any time soon. Seriously now, it would probably be a game we barely know about. But cheer up, I'm sure there are plenty of great games already out that you could be playing right now anyway. So why does that even matter?

All this news about Capcom about to make us "Wii owners very happy" is really setting up the company for major failure. Who isn't expecting BIG things because of this announcement? By big, I mean something new!! Will a port or a Wii-makereallymake "Wii owners very happ?" I sure as heck won't be happy if Capcom announces a Wii-make or worst yet a port.

How do you guys feel about it?

Arkk_Angel

Well it is a known fact. If you set your expectations too high you are bound to be disappointed. So my advise? Have low expectations. You'll get more enjoyment out of life. I think we all need to get used to playing old 8-bit games.

Capcom has a card up its sleeve, whether its an Ace or a Joker we won't know. Why didn't you make a poll to see if other people could guess what it might be (you know general things like: A>action game B>shooter C>adventure) And a follow up question could be: would it use Wii motion plus. Or would it be another spinoff: like Resident evil 5 for Wii. We can narrow down these possibilities so far that we cover all the ground possible. Cuz we sure as heck, hate to be surprised... ;-)

Madworld because it describes the game to a T. I mean look; you Crush other people, its like 300 all over again except theres only one of you and its modern day.

Conduit by definition is just a cover for electrical wires (the name implies they just thought up the first "cool word" that came to mind). So by rights in Conduit you should be like an electrician or something. I mean you'd have to be a sellout to like this game over Madworld...

Well I suppose both games are published by Sega so I can't complain.

I agree with G-Legend.

Home would be better if you could have multiple people on the same console playing it and moving around in different places at once (like splitscreen multiplayer (why not?)). I envision virtual worlds being some kind of 3D website based system (not like the commercial, messager, and sims kind of gimmick that it is right now). I also think virtual worlds should be combined with physics engines like that of Garry's mod for Half Life 2 (so you could have fun playing with the physics with other people around). Think of the possibilities. Also who said virtual worlds had to look anything like a place that exists in real life? Why not include different themes to the common places you visit like: mad scientist, tropical beach, rainforrest, desert, school (just kidding, who would want a virtual world to remind them of school), Military base, zerg hive...etc. I mean each person could percieve the generic scenary differently just like you do a PS3 wallpaper.

Home just seems like the sims with a messaging system (except that the clothes and furniture cost money for each).

Wow...43% never use it and all I remember months ago is everyone moaning and groaning because it took Sony so long to get it out and how cool it was gonna be when it came out. Now...it's stupid and nobody uses it. What a waste of server resources....

paul52181
It would be interesting to see if those who complained about it not being here yet were some of the same people who didn't care for it when it did come out. That is the problem the most vocal people aren't necessarily the same people, but we have a tendency to group them as such.
