I enjoyed Soldiers: Heroes of World War II quite a bit. It's a little more like a Commandos style RTS as you focus more on a smaller squad than a ton of units. It's fairly original and unique compared to other RTS games.

Personally, I think MMOs are all crap. I've tried a few out a got sick of them in a day or too. They are are mind-numbing repititive garbage. Some multiplayer extensions of single player games like combat games are okay. it's the role-playing MMOs that are junk. I find no redeeming value at all in the genre and can't understand why they are so popular.

My PC has that same resolution and I had no problems. Make sure you apply the patch (If I recall its 1.2)

P.S. - Awesome game by the way, if you've yet to play it. It's may favorite. Make sure you get Silent Storm Gold and play "Sentinels" - it's even better and more challenging

And now for something completely different:

Silent Storm & Sentinels   (if you haven't played this it's a travesty)

Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive

Max Payne 1 & 2

Tomb Raider AOD & Legend  (Yes! I like AOD a lot - so sue me!)

Yeah I suppose. Maybe my parents will be so kind as to pay 50% of the computer. Or maybe 70%. But I'm not going to get my hopes up. But I suppose it's time for a job.MrMonkey100

Go to best buy and get one of the fastest/newest cpus (AMD 5200+ or Intel 3+GHZ). The video card will suck. I recommend getting a 512mb VisionTek ATI Radeon 1300 for $200+, which best buy sells. Works great for me. Or you can order one of the better ATI or invidia cards from newgg or the like.  Replacing the card is pretty easy, but best buy can do it for you for a charge.  I use the VisionTek above and it works great for me.  You can get this all for around $1500 if you don't splurge on a monitor.

Bizarre the your parents will let you get a laptop but not a desktop. Guess they thought it would be cheaper, but the opposite is true. A halfway decent gaming laptop will cost at least 3 to 3.5K, which isn't worth it for what you get.

desktops are even more cause u hav to get keyboard, mouse, speakers...etc

That's simply not true. You get much more bang for you buck with a desktop

Actually, once you learn how to do it, it's not the hard at all - and kinda fun. I was very frustrated at first until i googled for help. The key thing I was missing was what to listen and look for - plus I was locking the springs into position with a mouse click. Felt pretty stupid once I learn this, but I didn't have a guide for the game.  Basically, there's a different higher pitched sound when you push the pegs (or whatever up) listen for that sound and click the left mouse button, which will make it stay in place.

There's better instruction and video for lockpicking if you google it.

A lot of good points made here

KOTOR2 is definitely worth playing.  Several technical improvements over the first, but a bit more buggy.  Here's my main criticisms:

 1) The story is not a good as the first.  You don't feel as engaged with the main character and the ending leaves you with nothing

 2) Interesting characters but the evolution of these characters, interactions, and effect on the storyline are limited. I really hated how the dialogue trees close out for many of the characters well before the ending, except maybe for Kreia, who is the most annoying character, but the most important.

Overall, I enjoyed playing the game. It could have been a whole lot better especially in the story department - the ending blows
